[It's his perfectionism speaking; Bakugou can't imagine a world where he isn't seated as the top hero. That's the pedestal he strives to stand on.]

[Even now, in his canon, Bakugou's in an amazingly terrible situation. It's hard to say exactly how things will go. He's not necessarily safe, not when they're near All for One.]

[Deku really needs to stop projecting his feelings onto others! Bakugou couldn't care less what happens to him. If he'd been warped in along with him, sure, he'd likely have been killed, but that would be Deku's problem. Not like Bakugou considered for even a moment what would happen if Midoriya had managed to reach him. No, that's-- it hadn't occurred to him! End of story!

Ever since the fight with All might in the mock battles, he had been unsure of Bakugou's will to even stay alive half the time. He seemed to be fine with death as long as there was no chance he could win... and what sort of thinking was that!? Not to mention he seemed to love pretending not to care. There was not a shadow of a doubt in young Midoriya's that despite his harshness, there was some good in him yet.

Izuku gives a hefty sigh, placing a hand against his cheek and half obscuring his eyes in the process. The emotional talk would have to wait for a day when the other was more 'stable'. A word to rival the board's 'unstable' view of him.</sub> ]
