Though I would not discount someone based purely on what they are. You would be surprised who can become a friend with time.

[Makenna couldn't be a more obvious practitioner of magic if she tried. Pointed hat, robes and holding an old wooden staff. However one thing would be at least outside of what Morrigan would usually see out of mages in her world. She he a large sword on her back that glowed with a blue hue.]

[Morrigan looks like what she is, a wild woman with a bad attitude, the magic is nearly incidental. But it's a family trait, her mother's a bit of a beast. So the outfit is noted but there is little enough for her to remark upon given this new place.]

It is pretty common for the name given to us to be a bit lacking, but there have been more amusing or more thoughtful names as well.

I am named Morrigan, so that is what you may call me, Makenna is an interesting name. Are you from this world or another?

I am from a different world. I do not think anyone is actually from here. This seems more like a place where everyone meets.

Though where are you from? You dress like you could be a pyromancer from the great swamp in my world.

Ah, that makes a sort of sense.

I am from a wild place, outside the laws and rules of Ferelden. I live, lived in the wilds away from all this society.

I know not this term, but I am a witch some call me apostate.

Pyromancers are a very specific kind of magic user where I am from. They deal in life manipulation magic. Usually this is fire magic though not exclusively. Pyromancy is also far more primal than the traditionally taught sorcery. More brutal, less about education and more about personal growth. Probably why the old grumps at the Dragon School were so scared of it.

It makes sense that you are dressed like one. Pyromancy tends to develop in those places that are wild. Full of life. It is also typically shunned by society. So you wouldn't be all that out of place in a group of those pyromancers from the great swamp.

Manipulation is more my mother's business. She used such magics regularly and she uses them to powerful effect. I suppose you could easily call it primal, we prefer to think of it as untamed.

Indeed, the wilds offer much in the way of free development of one's talents.

My mun's usernames aren't all that creative either. But I'd rather have something accurate than some of the humorous things other muses have been stuck with.
