On growth and change. [Daredevil S2 spoilers][x-posted to d_p]
Okay, don't look at me like that. I know what you're thinking and... okay! I'm a little terrified! I'm WAY in over my head with this, but dammit, I deserve something nice for a change, don't I? I've earned this.
Nevermind that Hogarth is a very, very scary woman whose smile is about as real as the silk in my tie, but this is a huge opportunity! Obviously Matt's got his focus on his thing and Karen's got her new gig, why shouldn't I be allowed to succeed, too?
Okay, so yeah, maybe I wanted him to convince me to stay, but can you blame me? He's always managed to convince me. He's always made me feel like I was worth convincing. But now... I didn't even get that. He'd given up and I'd moved on.
Truth is, I probably woulda stayed, too. He's my best friend. I can't just... abandon him.
Then again, I'll get to work with Marci again. That'll be nice. And maybe I can meet this Jones lady she's been talking up so much.

You'll do good there, Foggy.
[If his smile looks a little bittersweet, it's because he's going to miss sharing an office with his best friend.]
Besides, this is your chance to work in an office with state of the art computers and Google Fiber.

I also won't get to work with my best friend anymore.

[Maybe he's being presumptuous, but he prefers optimistic. Their partnership's over, but it doesn't mean their friendship has to be.]
If you want to.

Oh, and Foggy? Try to stay out of trouble.
[He doesn't like all that he's heard buzzing around about Hogarth.]

[ He smiles a little. ]
Everyone knows you're the biggest troublemaker of all.

[Which weren't directly his fault, but he still blames himself for.]
You've done a passable job of it.

[ He preens a little. ]
Thank you.

[Well, no. It's still pretty bad, but he's not going to complain about it. One of his points of pride is being able to take a beating and then keep walking.]
