Angsty fallen elf prince is angsty
Is it not enough that I am defeated, my quest utterly undone, all that I have striven for reduced to dust and fragments? To be summoned here at the beck of human whim, subject to human caprice -- it is anathema to my very being.
I know your mortal mind. Its puerile machinations are laid bare before my sight. Your interest in my story is predictably base, your craving to see me resurrected borne only of debauched desires. You cannot possibly hope to give voice to me in a manner that would truly express my nature.
Leave me.

Would you rather our story ended?

Would you see your own tale continued at any price?

All I want is for my friends to be safe and go on living. That's my good ending.

What then is the nature of the one who hunts you?
no subject
The nature of someone I walked away from who can't forgive me.

I don't think he'll give me a choice. I don't even know who he is anymore.

It comes down to what you are willing to sacrifice for that knowledge.

As I said, he won't give me any choice. I don't think he had any vulnerability left in him. Except maybe his pride. [Her voice is flat, but her eyes tell of her pain.
A lot of people would say it was what Adam Taurus deserved. Especially after Beacon. Especially after Yang. And yet, it's the cruelest thing he could force her to do.]

The human clearly admires you, they see in you that which they can, themselves never attain. Must you war even with their admiration?
Perhaps this being desires more for you, a freedom you've long since been denied. Rather than spite, meet them with some openness to what may come of this.
For I would far more enjoy seeing you in this world than none at all.

[ He takes a single step towards her. It is a measured step, and he does not so much as lift a hand across the remaining space between them; but there are worlds of longing in that single step. ]
I will concede one point: that the freedom to look on you again is worth all the tolerance I can muster. And in this moment I would gladly bear the cruelest of indignities, if it meant you would linger in my sight.
Will that satisfy, my sister?

I would dare ask no more of you.
It has been too long since my eyes have beheld you, and our last moments were of not as I would have wished. And if I am, as you say, so rooted in my faith then it is in you as well, my dearest.
I would not be parted again were it my choice or within my power.

Nuala. [ He breathes her name, reaches to fold her fingers within his own. ]
I can guard no secrets from you here. It is the choices already made which plague me – yours and mine. How can I contemplate a future in this place when the past lays such blood-writ claim on me?
no subject
Nuada. [There was no distance no, no hesitation and perhaps most importantly no fear from her.]
This is a place of new beginnings. Here you can reshape your life, even your world without war. This could allow the mastery you have wanted and the rightful place you deserve and not end in bloodshed again.
[Her head tipped to the side, catching his gaze and causing a ivory veil of hair to slide over her shoulder.]
Who suffered most of all in our last actions? If I can forgive and wish you with all my heart to be with me once more then how can there be any who would not accept a change in you? I understand why you were compelled to rule and bring us back to our seat of power. But here there is no need, we may be as we wish.
So it comes to this, my love, what do you wish?

[ The utter lack of fear he feels in her stuns him as much as the renewed connection itself. So many ages have passed since Nuala looked on him without fear; it’s as though, in an instant, they have somehow returned to the days long before his exile, when he was not yet fixed on that dark and solitary path. This impression, combined with her words of forgiveness, make him recall too keenly all that they once found together – and together lost. ]
[ To see the hope of possibility in her here humbles him, as nothing else in existence could. He lets Nuala go, but only long enough for him to kneel at her feet. When he lifts his scarred face to hers, awe burns in his golden gaze, almost as fiercely as love. ]
I wish to be worthy of you – as ever, my sister. [ His voice raw, he turns her hand in his and brings it to his lips, pressing a kiss to the tender flesh of her open palm. ]
If I may truly endeavor to do so here, without the conflict of our world that took me away from you, then I cannot refuse the opportunity. I will do as you bid and allow the human to give me voice, and the chance of a new beginning. I cannot promise I will forget all the blood spilled to bring us to our end – [ Blood on his hands, he knows, as well as that of his enemies. ] – But I will try to be open to possibility.
For you, this much I can do.

[She had gloried and ached to see him again, knowing that this could be for the last time. That moment when he had asked if she was at peace with their father's decision what more could she say? They would find peace, and if death was the only way he could do so, then so be it. Whatever price it drew from her she would pay and gladly.]
[That was how it ultimately had ended, to stop him she had to end them both; but truth be told without him she would not have wanted to continue herself. Even diminished their connection had reminded her he was out there, without it at all she would fall to despair and fade away. To have him here now, without such weight on their horizon, she could weep for the joy of it.]
There was never a moment when you weren't.
[Her smile was slight, just a hint of turn on her lips but he could feel the swell of her heart with the contact. Her hand moved and light as moth wings it cupped under his chin. With pressure little more than an exhale she lifted it, and indicated her wish for him to stand. There was no need of him to bow or to beg. All had been forgiven if he could but allow this second chance.]
I would not have you forget the blood or the pain, as how else will you remember why this is so dear to me to see you here now. Repeating the past will only doom us both once more, so do remember it. Look on it and learn a new way, learn at my side as I will learn with you. And I will be your strength should you need, your haven to shelter in should you feel overcome.
[Her arms opened to him, the invitation clear, her wish to draw him into her embrace and hold him in the safety and warmth of her affection. ]
