the abominable bride happened on dvd
So...it's come to this, has it?
Dragging this face out again under a new name with a new outfit.
[He waves away his own sentence with a hand.] It makes no difference. One century or another, I am still the worlds only consulting detective. The boring cases will still come, let me know when there are ones that deserve my interest.
[Violin music begins to block out any protest from the mun.]

Hm.
On what are you basing that deduction? The obviously blatant username or the fact I am deciding to ignore my writer for the time being? I assure you they have nothing to say of any value at this point.
no subject
Obviously in one century or another, little has changed with you. Still unwilling to take any cases that don't meet your very high standards.

Till then, there is the morphine bottle. [He starts playing again, obviously composing as he goes.]
no subject
Morphine. [ A sigh. ] Really hope my Victorian self doesn't just let you shoot up all the time.

My apologies. Tiny detective modeled after Holmes had to make a comment.
I might also inquire how much you know about Japan, but from reading your exploits, I might deduce for myself that it is not much.
no subject
[Eyebrow raise.] You would be erroneous in that deduction. I have some acquaintence with Baritsu, the Japanese system of wrestling. It has saved my life on one occasion.
no subject
But wrestling is hardly an entire culture, Holmes-san. I know of the English language, and some of England's quirks, but I would hardly say I know the land.

... My coat is better.
no subject
Mm, perhaps. [His tone clearly saying it was not.] If one cared to button it properly now and again. It is indeed a wonder you haven't fallen ill with pneumonia yet.
sherlocks are ridiculous
That's what the collar's for.
[ brb popping that sweet, sweet collar. ]
I would be willing to try that seven percent solution, though. Just to ensure its potency and effectiveness, you understand.
lol
[He doesn't smile but there is a glint of amusement in his eyes.] One addict to another as it were. I had thought myself smarter than to try and lie to myself but that is apparently not the case. Thank you, I had wondered what sort of tells I exhibited while lying.

[Obviously deducing this is a man who is not in want of a fine suit. Air of well-to-do, but not a London native.]
China or Japan?
no subject
[If Stephen managed a full week without completely destroying a good coat, it was a miracle.]
Shanghai. What gave it away?
no subject
A few minor things, nothing of import. [Sherlock seems pleased to have narrowed in on such a deduction so quickly.] You've been in London for some time, however. And not of your own choice.
no subject
London, on the other hand, has no redeeming qualities save for certain people being unreasonably attached to the damned place.

A detective, hm? Tell me, monseiur, what sort of things do you detect?
((OOC: Team Fortress 2 BLU Spy, using Melvyn Douglas as his unmasked PB because Douglas once played Arsene Lupin.))
no subject
I do not detect, I deduce. When Scotland Yard is out of their depth, which is frequently, they come to me.
[ooc: as unfamiliar as I am with team fortress, I will do my best to wing it.]
no subject
I'm not surprised. Everything has to be about "order" and "rules" with la gendarmerie.
(His accent is vaguely "French" in the sense that a non-French speaking person would think of him as such. To an actual Frenchman, he would sound 90% atrocious and 10% Canadian.)
no subject
La gendarmerie...less stress on the vowels would do your accent a world of good.
[Yes, he knows you are not who you pretend to be. Seems he would rather correct his pronunciation with his own fluent French than call him out as a spy.]

[Really, Molly, the moustache was not the point of the case...or perhaps Sherlock is a bit sore over the fact he didn't notice it was a false moustache.]

Don't you think?
[The best part was that it didn't matter if she was male or female, she was just the person doing the job.]
