+1 angry young man
You expect me to be impressed that you finally finished the game? Well, I'm not. Anyone could do such a thing. It's just a dumb game involving my pathetic excuse for a father, Big Boss. Hah, he's nothing to me! Nor are you. All adults are idiots.
My father will die because he is the one who caused me to be born. A failure. Why? It's all his fault and you know it. Don't look at me like that.
[Eli is angry as usual.]
I wish Mantis was here.

[Lord knows Snake does.]
hi, dad ^-^
[Eli will now be running towards you, Boss. Watch out, here comes the knife...]
:-D (Also forgive my lack of icons. One of these days I need to screencap a LP for some variety)
If what Ocelot told me was right, Zero was the one taking care of you before you went rogue. You probably never met the man personally, but Zero's a professional liar. Likes to manipulate people so he'll get his way.
[Snake regards the knife for a moment. It's a lot like his own, though smaller. Zero was nothing if not dedicated to making the "Legacy of Big Boss" live on, no matter how many lives he had to ruin to do it. He tosses the knife into the dirt at Eli's feet.]
He's done it to all of us, at different times.
Re: nice to meet you ^-^ I also RP a Kaz and Ocelot if you're interested :)
Who the hell is this Zero you keep blaming?
Are you part of the fission_mailed crowd? Almost every Metal Gear RPer I know is, lol
[Hand-chin. So Eli didn't even know who Zero was, or that he was the reason Eli had such a pronounced British accent. It figures, really. Zero probably used proxies of every sort to guide the kid, to mold him into the tiny killing machine he was now. Distilling all of Big Boss's traits into the coldest, and most ruthless killer he could.]
He was my commanding officer, a long time ago. He and I started the FOX Special Forces unit together, but after someone we both admired died, he and I drifted apart. He saw her last request one way, and I saw something different. He's been hell-bent on putting what he thinks was her last will into practice ever since.
Re: yeah I am ^-^
Who died? [He threw his knife back and forwards between his left and right hands, whilst awaiting an answer.]
I figured as much. I haven't been as active over there lately. The comm tends to move too slow.
[While Venom didn't know the whole story, he knew enough, knew Big Boss's feelings on the subject well enough to fill in the gaps.]
She was a soldier. My mentor, in fact. Her name was The Boss. Probably the greatest soldier that ever lived, as much as people give me that title. She had this idea of a world without borders. A place where soldiers could lay down their guns and stop fighting. She betrayed me, defected to the Soviet Union so she could get her hands on the means to make her idea a reality. I had to kill her to finish my mission. You might've read about it. Operation Snake Eater.
[Venom's holding his stoneface as best he can, but even he is affected by The Boss's death. He can't give Eli full context of the past, but he's hoping even just telling him about it can give him some perspective on the rift between him and Zero.]
Re: yeah the guys have been busy on and off
You killed your own mentor? How did that make you feel?
That tends to happen in RP. I've only really gotten active again recently, time off of school
The day I killed The Boss, I killed part of myself, too. I could never take another order from the U.S. That's why I left.
Re: the guys are really nice over there though ^-^
