Homeless/Voice testing
Look I know what you’re thinkin. It ain’t lookin so good for Alexandria anymore. It ain’t even lookin good for me where everythin last left off. I know ya already know things, mun. Things of what’s to come, what’s gonna happen to group, what’s most likely gonna happen to me. I don’t expect ya to tell me, I really don’t know if I want ya to. I’ve learned to accept those kinda things now. Sometimes ya just don’t get to know what’s gonna happen to yourself, to those ya love. I do know that I ain’t bout to give up, none of us are.
Lost a lot between daddy and Beth. Kinda hard to believe that both of ‘em are actually gone but they are, along with many others. That’s enough to crush any girl’s heart, break her down and rip all hope away from her but in the end you keep goin. I saw them, saw the balloons before all of this. It’s him, I know it is. He’s alive, he showed me like he said that he would. Things may look helpless, they may seem that way but he’s out there. Right now that’s enough for me.
That’s enough for us.

[A beat.] I know we ain't ever met before, but I hope things work out. [Well, as long as they can before shit hits the fan again. It always does.] As well as they can, anyway.
no subject
[She offers him a weak smile and then a nod] Ya too. Ya from around here?
no subject
[He looks off to the side, his gaze thoughtful, heavy.]
Been dealin' with lurkers an' bandits the last couple years... if that's what you're askin'. I heard a' Alexandria before, but that was after I ended up here in this 'headspace', or whatever the hell people call it. [To himself:] Sounds like somethin' straight out of a horror flick.
no subject
Alexandria was good while it lasted. Huge part of me likes to think that maybe we can even save it? Know what ya mean bout this headspaces. I'm rather new to mine but guess I'm learnin.

Whatta bout you? Ya gotta place ya stay?

[He chuckles wryly.]

Guess we're all kinda "homeless" huh?

I'm sorry [She whispers softly before glancing back up]
Bakerstreet? Can't say I've ever heard of it. It safe? Free of walkers?
no subject
...Depends on what you mean by safe. Ain't seen any walkers, but, well, there're the least a' anybody's worries. If you an' your mundane are on good terms, though, then I don' think you'll have much of a' problem.
no subject
Was it safe for you and your mun? It treat ya alright?
*they're
[A corner of his mouth turns up, thinking of Clem.]

[It's all they can do.]

[Daryl stalks for a second, pacing with his eyes focused on her, trying to hide the pain and worry in them behind anger. It was always easier to be angry.]
And Glenn's goin' be just fine. He got you a message, didn't he? Have to trust that.
no subject
Glenn is alive, I know that now. He's safe, I hope at least. We ain't, I ain't and whata bout y'all? Ya haven't made it back yet...
no subject
[Daryl was not happy to hear her say she wasn't in a good spot. That place set him on edge, but it was their home now. No place was could ever be safe anymore, sure. He knew that. But Alexandria? It was safer than most. Had good people watching it. Had them there.]
And we're on our way back. Got a truck and some new toys. We'll be there soon. It's only twenty miles.
no subject
That's still a bit away, Daryl. [She replies back softly. She then shakes her head slightly]
Maybe ya'll should just keep goin? Ain't much worth comin back to anyhow. Ya can stay safe that way. Maybe even find Glenn?
no subject
Now you just stop with that kind of talk. Ain't no way we ain't coming back for you. We waited too long last time shit hit the fan and look how that turned out. Ain't happening again.
no subject
Now ya listen! [She shot back] Y'all need to becareful, stay safe. Rushin back here to what could be just nothin...
no subject
[He leaned in close when he said it. Anger boiling up.]
You're family. Get that through your head if you ain't done it yet. I don't care what's going on, if there's a chance, I'm taking it!
no subject
Ya'll could be too late. The herds already broken in and all of us are split up. We all will do what we gotta to get out.
We all could be just fine.....

Don't you worry about them. They're gonna get theirs. Abraham went shopping.
[He started pacing again.]
And we'll get back. Told you that already.
no subject
Y'all might be in danger yourselves.
no subject
[He stopped his pacing to look her in eye. Almost immediately he looked down and away.]
Ain't no place safe. Gotta accept that and keep going. We can make a home, but we can't make it safe. So if Alexandria falls, if these guys are really that bad, we put ourselves back together and keep moving. Find a new place. A new roof for however long it lasts. And we fight what and who we have to. That's how it is, now.
no subject
[She glances away slightly as she blinks her eyes a few times to fight back a few tears]
I'm just tired. Tired of the runnin, tired of places not lastin at all. Most of all I'm just damn tired of losin people. Tired of someone dyin no matter what we do.
no subject
Yeah. I know. I am, too. But that's why I gotta come back.
[He couldn't just give up on them all and assume the worst. He had to try.]
no subject
[She glances back at him slightly]
I miss Glenn, even though I know he's safe and close. I miss daddy, I miss Beth. Ain't a day goes by I don't think of 'em and how much they would have loved it in Alexandria. Daddy could have made another garden, Beth coulda made some friends. Ya know? But they ain't here...
And sometimes that ain't a bad thing cause they ain't gotta do this no more...

[She glances down once again. A hand grazing acrossed her stomach for a moment]
Y'all just becareful round those men.
no subject
Good.
[Daryl nodded and stretched his arm out so he could put his fingers lightly on her shoulder. Just a brief touch, an attempt at comfort.]
And I will. Got people to protect, don't I?
no subject
She then gives a broken smile at his touch and comment]
Just do what I say and stay safe. We can't lose you to.
