We are already friends. [She said so herself! Right after the whole Last Judgement thing, you remember. What more does he need to do?] If my false form sees fit to attend the festival, that is his business. [That's kind of what he's for, you know. Being around normal humans and all.]

It's nothing serious. [His scowl turns slightly concerned.] You're alone... Are you alright?

I'm okay. This place I'm at, I've been making friends, even if there isn't anyone from home with me. So it's not so bad. Lots of people have been offering to help me!

[Sakura, that does not change that you've been drafted by some mysterious group to go save worlds in exchange for getting home again. Of course that isn't going to actually reassure Yue.....]

I'm...glad, then. That you're alright. And that you have help. [Even if he can't protect her there, if she's with others who will keep her safe, that should be enough, right? Right?

So. You and Kero-chan don't need to worry. It's....not the safest, so it's probably better you stay back home and make sure Kero-chan and Syaoran-kun and Tomoyo-chan are all okay.

[Of course she's thinking of everyone else over herself and her own safety, his duty to keep an eye on her and all. If something happened to one of them while she was away, she'd feel terrible.]

I can't go back knowing you're not safe. My duty is to protect you. [It's his nature to be serious, but he does take that promise very seriously regardless. Even if he'd never admit it.] Your friends and family will worry. [And he'd worry. But, petty details.]

[That and the whole 'Yukito' thing. Of course Sakura wants to keep him safe. Away from all of this fighting, if possible. Not that any of them actually get any sort of say in who shows up or when, amid the ALASTAIR recruits.]

[None of what she says reassures him much. But even so, even with the pull of obligation to protect his Mistress, and his own desire to keep her safe...

He frowns bitterly.]

It's not that I don't want to. But-- My Mundane has reservations. [His wings ruffle a bit in annoyance. If it was up to him he'd be there in a heartbeat.]

I...trust that you'll be able to take care of yourself, in the meantime. And I will do my best to do as you have asked.

It's okay. I know mine would have probably almost all of us somewhere in a game if she had the time. I'll manage. I have this far! And besides, that doesn't mean we can't talk here, like this.

[Still, trying to be reassuring regardless. As she always would. Offering herself to him in a hug. If he allows it.]

[He sighs. Infectiously optimistic Mistress, as ever.]

"Everything will absolutely be okay," isn't it? [Or whatever it is she says. And he supposes she hasn't exactly been wrong yet.

He gives her a curious blink at the hug offer. He certainly wouldn't stop her if she tried, but he's not exactly the best at...volunteering himself for these sorts of things. He's not even entirely sure what she wants, but gets down to one knee anyway - It might have been a little off-putting for him to be standing while she's still so much shorter than him, come to think of it.]

[But oh, she never quite realized how much she needed this until now. It's been a difficult couple of months in spite of herself and her support, being without anyone else from home. This particular comfort and reassurance from those that know her so well. It's so easy to slip back to this, allowing him to embrace her even as this is also partly her attempt to reassure him.]
