So, look. I get why people have been reacting to my... indecisiveness. And I'm glad you understand where I'm coming from... Someone has to, I mean.

That... doesn't really make it any easier, though. We can't just be running around like we did when we were kids. We have to figure out how to be responsible with our power, and the consequences of wielding it.

If that means I have to hesitate, I will. But I'm not going to run away, either.

My family is pretty interesting.

That's pretty much just Masaru-niichan. And Papa ... and they might have taught me a few things, too. Maybe.

Ikuto-kun, Yoshino-neechan and Touma-niichan can pretty much control their Digisoul without having to punch Digimon in the face. I wouldn't put it past Ikuto-kun to try, though ...

Ah, I see. Ikuto... He's the one with the partner that looks like an owl, right? I remember the other two pretty well... Honestly their partners reminded me a lot of Gabumon and Palmon...

Well, that was really only for a minute. There were a lot of people there. I only spent any real time around Masaru and the other leaders.

Everyone else was busier fighting in other places around the world.

I'm glad you got to meet my brother, then! I hope you guys got along really well!

It was mostly us fighting for our lives, but... heh, well, I guess he'd say that's how you get to know somebody, huh?

Well, he does kind of jump right to fighting a lot.

That's not to say he isn't. He can just be really impulsive.

Well, the guy lives by a certain code. I can be pretty impulsive myself. Or at least I have been.

So what changed?

I don't know, really.

Maybe it's part of growing up. Maybe this is the kind of person my decisions led to me being. But... I'm not the same as I was before.

I just know that I can't look at the world the way I used to.

That makes sense. I think that can be said for everyone at some point.

Isn't growing up such a pain?

Things are certainly a lot less simple. But then, my life has never really been simple at all.

I can imagine ... you've been involved with Digimon for a pretty long time, it sounds like.

Over a third of my life, really.

I was 10 when I first met Piyomon, too. Granted, I haven't been as involved with Digimon as my brother and everyone else with him was, but it was still a pretty strange time of my life!
