Hm. Something rather similar happened to me: my ...landlady, for lack of a better term, gave me a room to let, but that only happened after she'd already let a room out to... what appears to be my crow-haired and middle-aged doppelgaenger from another century.

Oh...sharing room with yourself is never fun mate. My mun has two of the same guy in her head too and a few with the same face. Gets awkward.

It is... off-putting, to say the least: looking at this man, I'm not certain if I'm looking in a darkling mirror or if I'm looking into my future.

...A few with the same face? Hmm, there are two others who ...share a hereditary resemblance with my doppelgaenger, not enough to induce awkwardness, but enough to unsettle one, if you look too closely at them.

And one of these members of the same clan claims to have... created me. Us. Whatever one calls it. I suppose that would make him God to me, but I stopped believing in some benevolent dictator up in the clouds when my prayers got no response other than an echoing silence.

So like an author. I know spells that can do something like that. Price is a bit high though it's why I've never tried them myself. I'm careful with what dark magic I do use.
