Voice Test - Canon is Sleepy Hollow
I cannot say I enjoy your humor as much as you do. [She motions at the username vaguely.] I fear many will take the word "witch" poorly and you know I have never harmed anyone. Convincing Ichabod was difficult enough; must I now convince beings from different worlds?
You ask too much of me.
You ask too much of me.
mun just watched that movie for the first time yesterday
it's one of my faves.
How do you feel about witchcraft?
I loved it. It had a lovely story and visuals!
Guess it depends on what it's used for--helping people, or hurting people?
Tim Burton has fun with darker settings.

Then we've got no problem with you.
Now, how do you feel about giant green rage monsters?
no subject
[She tries to determine what exactly he means.]
Giants don't frighten me unless they are in some dangerous or deadly rage. Green is a nice color.
Are you referring to yourself?
no subject
no subject
Is that so?
no subject
Yeah. I've seen enough of life to believe you. Have you been at your craft long? You're still young.
no subject
Since I was a child. My mother practiced it and I have taken after her. Unfortunately, she has passed.
no subject
I'm sorry to hear that, still you're committed despite the risk. I admire that.
no subject
One should be true to themselves.
no subject
Trouble is candor carries a price. If I were true to myself you would wish to run. Like you I have secrets.
no subject
[She won't hold it against him prematurely.]
no subject
[ It's only courteous that's he's forthright with her in return. The man steps forward, a little closer than necessary. He leans and the crest of his forehead touches hers. ]
I'm someone who drinks blood.
no subject
[Her eyes widen and she freezes, looking confused. Her hands ball in her skirt as she thinks quickly.]
Does my blood appeal...? I would rather it didn't.
no subject
It appeals very much.
[ His hand falls, though he remains in her sphere. ]
But I can subdue my desires.
no subject
Is it the only thing you can drink? It must be difficult for you.
no subject
It's not hard at all. You see overpowering people is easier than holding on to them. That's much more complicated.
no subject
So you have chosen to be lazy about it.
no subject
You assume I find the former preferable, yet you stand unharmed.
no subject
Have a [straaange] version of the Horseman! :P
But as to the latter, they always ask and expect too much of us, you might as well get used to it.
:D Welcome!
[This is bringing back fearsome memories.]
My curiosity might sustain me.
no subject
[She smiles, tipping her head and showing the scar around her throat.]
Yes, a witch cut off my head and put it back on.
no subject
What is her name?
no subject
[Alleyne taps her scar and gives a strange little smile.]
I didn't really get a chance to ask questions. She just didn't seem too happy with me when she found out I couldn't bring her dead lover back to life. So she cut my head off.
no subject
My step-mother stole the head of a mercenary and forced him to do her bidding. I thought perhaps the stories were similar.
no subject
But it seems similar enough. She took my head and controlled me for a while - anyone who holds the Horseman's head controls the Horseman.
[Sound familiar enough?]
She sewed a new head on in its place so I didn't look too out of place, and when the opportunity came, I took it back.
no subject
[No fainting. She purposefully breathes deep, though she's pale.]
Yes, that... That is how it is done. I think it a cruel spell.
Whose head...?
no subject
[She tries not to chuckle at how pale the girl becomes.]
I think 'cruel' is a generous word for it. I'm not sure where she got the head, she just kind of stuck it on there. For all I know she conjured it herself.
WELL WELL WELL
Besides, I...I happen to...like it. The title. { Of course you do, Ichabod. It comes as close to the concept of a fond memory as anything pleasant that's ever happened to you could. Which isn't a common occurrence. }
<3!
[Oh ho. It definitely brings up nice memories.]
She was the first to greet you with a kiss.
