On mun's amusement about a Plurk conversation

Look mun. I know you thought it was a bloody fantastic idea, but there's no way it's happening. Ever. In fact, I can't think of any god dammed game where I would ever let myself get knocked up. Not even if he came back from the dead and begged me on his hands and knees.

[Long pause.]

... Mayfield? You wouldn't dare. There's no way I'm being a happy home maker from the 50's. Right then, you just go and ask Al. I'll bet you get a no.

[Mumbled.]

Least those kids wouldn't be coming out of my bloody womb. And there's liquor.

[She hugs him in return, holding him close and resting her head against his chest.]

That'll work. But we'll get through it you know. Just like we always do.

[She glances up at him, blue eyes curious.]

Have you met Jenny?

Jenny Q?

[He let a finger travel idly up and down her back] Just barely, I didn't really have time to stay with the team. Why?

[shockinglyold]

[Oh, she liked that. She let her eyes close, arms tightening around him.]

I've heard great things about her, but I haven't met her.

[She wished she could. Jenny seemed fantastic.]

[changeordie]

[He shrugged, not that she could see with her eyes closed]

She may be great. She's still not you.

[shockinglyold]

[She could feel the shrug of his shoulders.]

Funny, Apollo fells the opposite of that where I am now. It's like living in the shadow of my successor.

[Jenny snuggled against him a bit more. Really, there was no one else in the world who got to see this side of Jenny. It was only reserved for John.]

It's nice to know I'm missed.

[changeordie]

[He cupped her chin with two fingers, making her look up.]

You make your own shadow, no matter what Apollo might say. And of course you were missed, was there any doubt?

A little, but nothing I've let hinder me for too long.

[She let her hand rest on his, fingers curling around the side.]

Seeing you helped as well. I wish it was a more permanent thing.

Hopefully it will be.
[She pushes up and kisses his neck.]

God, I could use you around right about now.

[changeordie]

And I could use you. I could actually use being anywhere outside this... this headspace.

I was already a prisoner once, it is not an experience I want to repeat.

[She nuzzled into his neck.]

I'm sorry. There wasn't another viable choice. You were beyond reasoning with.

[She knew that he'd probably notice that his neck was starting to be damp.]

Is there anything I can do to help convince your Mun?

[He shakes his head]

She'd bring me as soon as she could. She just needs more free time, dear.

As impressive as I am I can't give muns more free time. I guess I'll have to wait till Summer then.
