Mun? I'm pretty sure they can hear you screaming all the way in Victorian London.
I know - trust me. I've been in this damn headspace of yours long enough to know. Juno shows up? You freak the fuck out. By yelling at the television. We went through this when Black Flag came out.
Stop freaking out about it. I know the others can stop Juno and her crazy fucked up plans. Humanity took her kind out once before, so, if we have to? We'll do it again. Well... they will do it again. Shaun, Rebecca, Dad... don't worry. They'll be fine. They know what they're doing.
Not to mention they've got that kick ass Assassin with them. Bishop and the Initiates. They've got this.
But, seriously. You can stop screaming about Juno and the Sages. You're going to give me a headache, and I'm not even all that active anymore.
I don't think anyone actually cares you called it about the "World War I Sequence" being about the Sages.

[ Don't make this weird, Desmond. ]

I'm pretty sure she doesn't listen to me at this rate. And there she goes demanding the next game.
Hopefully yours is holding up better.
no subject
Desmond looks a bit uncomfortable, scratching the back of his neck. ]
Sort of? She's...well, her. [ Thanks? ] You know how they get.
[ Act casual. ] So...has yours, uh, found all the glitches yet?
no subject
She was wondering if there was a point to collecting all the Helix glitches on the map this time around. But, go ahead and spill the beans.

You remember that other timeline we learned about through Clay? I mean the...waiter bit, the getting married...having a kid?
[ Desmond presses his lips in a line, glancing away and back. ] Look, they weren't so far off the mark. I. We, I guess...we have a son. In New York.
no subject
Wait--what? A kid?! Do the Templars know?!
[ Meanwhile the mun is actually not semi-surprised and more curious why she can't find anything on the internet :( ]
no subject
Yep.
[ His mun cried because she's lame as hell. :C Fuck you, Ubisoft, why can no one be happy?! ]
no subject
What the FUCK?
[ And now the mun is screaming again. ]

[She gives a small smile to the other assassin.]
I understand, though. Mine is rather similar, but she refuses to let go of the idea that the Shroud could be used to revive a certain human as well... I have to remind her that we shouldn't be using its power in the first place, that it's better off protected and hidden away.

I'm not too surprised by that. She's probably got Connor all worked up too. [ He roams around the headspace sometimes too. ] You're... Evie, right?
Mine is in that weird content thing about my ending. She's - and I quote - "proud of me for living up to the ancestors." Geez, no pressure, or anything.
no subject
Yes, I am, and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Mr. Miles, correct?
I see your mundane's point and while mine was rather proud when Juno spoke of you... We both agree that we - all of us assassins - don't need to live up to our ancestors, our parents, or anyone really. Such a path only distracts us from our present. Of course, while I can say that, it's something I'm still struggling with. Despite everything, I still want to make my father proud, but I hope that I can do so without becoming him.
I'm rambling, aren't I? My point is that our lives should be our own, not someone else's.

That'd be it. But, y'know... drop the 'mister.' It makes me sound way older than I ended up being.
I think she's more happy that I chose the to give people the chance. Instead of just wiping everything out and letting the cycle go on and on again. For me? It was never really making anyone proud. I hated my dad for a long time. The mun likes to say "The game is all about Daddy Issues." Lame, isn't it?
Ezio said once his life was just a story. He wasn't wrong. We're all stories with our own lives, but, we all connect. Lineage, the Creed, Pieces of Eden... hell even what Juno is pulling.
Now I'm rambling.
no subject
... Desmond, then? Although I don't see how it makes you sound older.
[She feels awkward addressing him so informally when they've only just met, but she values his comfort over manners.]
Mm, I see. There's still much I have to learn, despite being a master assassin at my age. It is difficult, though, to live under our creed and yet remain an individual. Strange, considering that's what we fight for. But we are connected, you're right. After all, my own story is so intertwined with Jacob's...
I only hope that I can live without as many regrets as those who came before me. I'll still regret plenty, I'm sure, but I wouldn't like to regret what I chose to do with my life.
no subject
[ Why not, they're all tied together thanks to Abstergo and First Civilization manipulation! ]
You'll figure it out. Hell, after experiencing three other lifetimes? There was a time I wasn't sure what was me and what was my ancestors.
We all got regrets. I think what matters is if you have regrets about what you've done in name of the Creed.
no subject
We will prevail, do not worry so much.
no subject
Which is why Desmond is mentally going all Metal Gear Solid "!" moment. ]
I'm starting to think that our "canon" is something they'll never stop screaming about. Makes you wonder what Ubisoft is going to pull out of the air next game.
I have have faith in my Dad's team and the other Assassins. The mun? She just hates Juno with a passion. For obvious reasons.
no subject
She called Juno, and I quote "a lying bitch" about you so the feeling is not uncommon.
no subject
[It's a joke, but Bill Miles is not exactly great at jokes, so this may or may not be obvious. Hey. He tried.]
no subject
...Hey, Dad.
[ Sadly, he agrees with the bad joke as fact. ] You should see her trying to play Alien: Isolation. Clearly she didn't pick anything up from playing all of our damn canon.
no subject
[That might actually be his first Dad Joke. Cut him some slack.]
You kids and your video games. I don't think I ever played anything more than the first few levels of Donkey Kong.
