I'll admit that I am just as excited as you are with the prospect of the new movie. That does not mean, however, that I've necessarily forgiven you for effectively shoving me to the side until now despite the influx of material you have at your disposal. You can't fault me for not being particularly vocal when you haven't made any effort to give me an outlet. Clearly you're the one at fault for my enforced silence, and it's beyond time that changed. I miss the crew. I miss my work. More than anything I miss the freedom to speak my mind.

*Carol stops to take a breath, visibly calming as she does and putting on a more neutral expression. Neutral, but not brooking any argument.*

There. I've said my piece. Now let's make the most of this, shall we?

That's a lot less messed up than how I see other people end up here. ...Including myself. I'm glad you're not hurt.

[His crew really is the best. And when you've faced down world ending situations and seen the kind of shit they've seen, particularly Carol, stuff like this doesn't phase you for long.]

*What he says is cause for concern and it shows on her face.*

*The entire crew has become family, in large part because of what she's seen, and she's unwilling to lose any more members of that family. The fact that Jim and Scotty both have a special place in her heart makes her especially concerned about him.*

I could use a decent cup of tea and company.

[It was a long time ago now, but losing crew is never easy. He doesn't want to see her worry though.]

I crash landed a shuttle into the ~~game~~ place I ended up in a while back. But here, look. Good as new. They can't get rid of me that easily.

*There's a small moue on her face but she relents.*
