Munnie? Is that you? [Suddenly, she is much more awake. A huge smile blooms on her face as she bounces excitedly]

Yeah! [She waves one of her arms around to demonstrate that it is still in perfect condition]

Oh, I was fighting this bad guy that had a power that made make-believe things real. He imagined my arm was made of cookies and then my arm broke. He imagined my body was made of cookies, but Ken-chan came. After Ken-chan and him started fighting, my body stopped feeling weird.


Ken-chan told me to find Isa-chan but I stayed and watched Ken-chan cut a meteor in half.

[jocularly]

[He's...not sure what to make of that tale.]

I'm glad yer in one piece! Cookies crumble far too easily. [Just go with it. If Grim Reapers exist, maybe cookie bodies do too.] Ken-chan sounds like a good fellow.

[Wait. A meteor?]

He must be powerful too!

Uhuh! I like cookies, but I don't want my body to be made of cookies. It makes fighting less fun. You can't eat them if they're inside of you.

[Yay, someone else who thinks her dear Daddy Ken-chan is strong]

Yeah, Ken-chan is really powerful. It's why he's a Captain of the 11th Division. You can't be a Captain if you're not strong. He'll keep on getting strong because we made a promise to be the strongest.

[jocularly]

[He chuckles and lays a hand on her head.]

I think we kin agree on that. Yet ye seem young...

Is it normal for ye to fight?

[Anyone who looks out for little ones is okay in his book.]

So yer a team? Why do ye have ta be the strongest?

[She giggles a bit when he lays her hand on her head. Only a handful of people do that nowadays. Her giggles turn into a pout at the age comment]

I'm not that young anymore. I'm almost 310 years old. I've grown a few inches too!

[She nods]

It's Ken-chan and mine's job as Captain and Lieutenant to fight bad spirits called Hollows. We make sure the Hollows don't eat people in our world or the spirits and people in the living world. Plus, fighting is really fun.

Yeah, we've been a team since the day Ken-chan found me in the forest and gave me my name. [She looks a little wistful] We decided we'd be the strongest to get into the Soul Society and then fight for fun.

[jocularly]

Three 'undred...? [He's gonna need to sit down. But she looks like a little girl.] So ye are not human.

[Like a demon? No, they seem different.]

Do ye serve any Master or Mistress? [He nods slowly, awkwardly.] It's good t'have ambitions, I suppose.

Yup, I think in human years it means I'm almost 10. [She is not really sure if that is right but it is a good guess] No, but I think lots of the people back home were humans before they died.

No, we have Gramps who is really, really, really, really old. He has super long eyebrows, a real long white beard and a big walking stick. I heard from Ken-chan that Gramps is still really strong even though he's wrinkly and old.

He's like the head of all the Captains. I think we have a king too. I dunno. [She shrugs since she's still a kid and paying attention to politics is boring. Even though she does hold a position of power as a Lieutenant] Gramps once was explaining things but I got bored and drew a picture.

He has the best cookies and green tea. He always has some when I go visit his house. [Well, it's more like breaking into the house than visiting but tomato]
