Every since that fateful day when they had failed her, and he had failed Al, it's all he's ever wanted to do. And, of course, set things right again. It's been a long and hard road; he can still remember the pain and panic at thinking that Al had been lost forever, lost like she was, but Al is restored and though they are still without her, they can still move forward.

He grins a bit more, though it's softer and more thoughtful, reflective. ]
