[His expression twitches slightly in annoyance.]

[That comment gets a very long silence from the thief before he leans down and stares at Conan.

The grin he's getting right now? Is a manic KID grin turned up to 100.]

[ He's got that dumb grin on his face and he;s going to reach down to pat Conan on the head because that is obviously the best way to ruffle the detective's feathers.

But that grin turns a little sinister when he KID speaks up. ]

Aaah, that's right-- I owe you for that one, don't I?

[Conan twitches, although it wasn't clear which one of them was annoying him more at the moment.]

Okay, Kid. What did you do?

Don;t give me that. You're never just in the neighborhood. [He ducks his head away and gives Lupin an annoyed glare. ]

Ah, ah, ah.

[He waves a gloved clad finger at the other thief, his grin turning a little at the corners, his eyes hardening slightly.]

Think of that one as a gift. For shooting at my task force and using a real gun to do it while wearing my face.

[He glances down at Conan.]

Don't worry your little bow tie, Tantei-kun, it's just a rivalry between Phantom Thieves. After all, I did get to that gem first, didn't I? How was I supposed to know that Zenigata-keibu, Tantei-han and the others would be there.

[ Waving his hand as if to bat away what KID said, the grin lasts a few seconds longer. ] I missed, you know-- It was nearly flawless but your task force was well prepared. Heck, I'd say they're almost as good as Pop's and his plans.

[ Oh hey, there's a rumor going around that miniature detectives make great elbow rests. Guess what Lupin is trying to do now, Conan? ]

Real cute there, KID. [ As he completely ignores the child to focus on the thief for now, yes, he is still annoyed at the phantom thief. That much is still obvious even as he relaxes around the pair, his free hand resting in the pocket of his jacket. ] Speaking of that gem-- I'll be needing that sometime.

[Right. This was why Conan hated dealing with thieves. He glares at both of them and takes a quick step to the side in an attempt to avoid whatever Lupin was trying to do. ]

Why thank you. They have been improving over the years. It takes a little while, but Nakamori-keibu is certainly dedicated to what he does.

[KID is actually very amused by the fact that Tantei-kun was now and elbow rest, pushing past the random thought of Tantei-kun was his critic first.

He shifts his weight slightly, having seen how Lupin's hand was resting on his pocket, feeling the weight of his own card gun where he carried it.]

Saaa, but you know how I operate, Lupin-san. What does an esteemed Phantom Thief do when he has no need for the gem he acquired?
