Mostly blood packs and blood substitutes, I am weaker because of it but it gets me less attention than going after humans.

[Shouichi isn't sure how a vampire can have a twin, but that's a question he can save for later, when he starts asking about how vampires are made. Right now he's fixated on the blood thing.]

Is that a decision you made because for ethical reasons, or because it's more convenient than acquiring human hosts?

Heh, well I prefer not to feed off of a human. It can cause us to go blood crazy and I would risk hurting someone. I can however feed from other vampires.

Blood crazy? So human blood has some kind of psychoactive effect on a vampire's nervous system?

In a way...just mostly for some younger vampires can get like that. Plus if I haven't fed in a while I can over do it at times.

I see... so the effects are exacerbated by the vampire's inexperience or extreme hunger.

Yeah exactly, like if you were a first time vampire you might get power hungry by the amount of power and strength it gives to you.

Speaking of power, what can you do besides summon bats? Can you transform into something? Use your power to fly? Control people's minds?

I can change into a bat...but it calls for extreme circumstances. I can fly with the bats. Controlling people's mind is more of a incubus and succubus thing. I can smell and hear better than a human though.

Garlic is gross can't stand the smell, crosses...I can look at them but touching them or speaking hymns or verses are a big no. Stake to the heart? Yeah sadly that does work.

Also I can cross water but it weakens me. Anything else?

How about reproduction? Can you turn people into vampires by biting them, or do you make more of your kind... some other way?

Mn...well yeah we can turn people into vampires but it's a little complicated. Like if I bit you, you'd be fine. But there are other ways...but you have to be very powerful.
