Yes. Perhaps a bit more thought could have been put into this Mundane. But what's done is done, and there is no turning back.
The fact that you wish to send me to a home with both of my sons is admirable. [Her stern look melts into a soft, sad smile.] No matter what they lead themselves to believe, they will always need me for something.
...Yes, even Loki. [Her eyes flash.]

[ Soft, and bitter, and despairing. He feels blank, and empty, without the flesh-and-blood connection every child should have for a mother. ]

No matter what you do, I will always see you as my Little Loki.

I had my chance, and I failed. If you leave me nothing else, leave me to face my failure alone.

If that is what you insist, my son. [Her voice comes out in a tight whisper.]

I raised you, I loved you.

[ He does not understand. Sif was willing, too, and Thor, and his frustration is that he cannot accept it himself. Accepting forgiveness means returning to how it was before, and he wants nothing close to it. He is not good, he is not just, until they accept that there is no path for him to tread to convince them that he isn't evil either. He is as he has always been: a creature in the middle.
He wants to tell her: look what I have found, look what I know, because that witch in the forest showed him what he hadn't learned in a millenia of life: that destiny can be defied. ]

She sniffs the air in between them before approaching, head turned upwards as her curled tail wags back and forth. The sun god mother can sense that she, too, is a mother. Won't you scratch those swiveling ears, that chin that's parted to reveal a black lipped smile? Sweet, isn't she?]

I have met your son, the god of mischief.
That's right, Frigga; there's another mother's voice speaking to you now.]

How is he?

He is young, comes the voice again. To the mother of all like Amatersu, all are young—those from the Moon Tribe, the others on the Celestial Plain, the brush gods...all are still so young. And uncertain, but proud and with strength. Very kind to me, even when he believes I am lecturing him.
How could she help it? She is everyone's mother, after all. She looks down, and a moment later a circle of flowers appears out of nowhere around the two mothers. He also enjoys my flowers.]

I thank you for watching over him.

It is not an issue, comes the motherly voice again, her tail now swish-swish-swishing back and forth, knocking flowers slightly and making a sound as it does so against the floor. The young gods make good company. I am Amaterasu, Mother of Loki. It is a pleasure to meet you finally.]

[But then, she dips her head. There are, after all, manners and customs to go by.] I am Frigga, wife of the Allfather, and Queen of Asgard. Mother to Thor... and Loki.

You are ashamed?
That is all she can think of to answer for that hesitation. There's no judgment her tone, however. She's one that can be easily talked to.]
[ooc. there's a capcom vs. marvel game with amaterasu and thor in it, i can't believe i just remembered. they have a sort of respectful rivalry going on because of their status as gods. i wish i'd played it now so she could :| about it!]

[ The little godling smiles, the Lady could have tagged you with the adult but the little one was just to loud when he saw you. ]

Pay what I have said no mind, my darling.
It is good to see you.

It is good to see you too. You and farther are not in this land of games very often.

It is very hard sometimes, and sometime the lady finds it amusing to play this younger version against my friends from The Avengers... as some sort of magical joke Loki as played... But it always pleases her to see my family members.
