Now, look, you know perfectly well you're not going to do anything with me, so why don't you simply run along and let's both go back to what we were doing? It's not as though I haven't got better things to do, and it's not as though you like me anyhow; I know perfectly well how you feel about my sister and darling Aunt Blanche, and she seems more your style, don't you think? Having so much in common.

And you can't be certain of anything for the rest of the week, anyway, so I don't know why now --

-- and incidentally, I've been looking at that bakerstreet place, and I can't say I quite like the look of it. I might not have kept my knees glued together the past two or three years, but I'm not indiscriminate -- don't give me that look! I did not 'screw my way across Berlin,' and there was generally only ever one at a time! -- and there seems to be far too much of that sort of carrying on over there. And that's the less undignified part.

So, honestly. Wouldn't it be better just to call it quits?
