Marth, you may have never experienced this yourself because you only really starred in two of your franchise's games. But when you're the face of an entire series, like Mario or Link or Samus, you get put through the wringer.

You can be thrown into the infinite vastness of space, the deep corners of the ocean or into Chaos knows what else, such as the fickle whims of your fans and-or creators. You basically get put through the wringer. I have seen and heard some things that, to this day, makes no sense to me.
