bandwagon yee haww

[standing with his arms crossed]

I pretty much realized that this partnership wasn't going to work when you decided to try and assign the dinosaurs to "good guys" and "bad guys".

So how about ... no. And you just put me back - not on the island but somewhere.

You did try to explain to your mundane that dinosaurs don't have morality, right?

THIS coming from the organization that decided to play Doctor Frankenstein with Godzilla?

Love to see what your next project is, maybe a Triceratops with lazer eyes that also knows the tango.

Muns never learn. They should read Ian Malcolm's books. That man is a genius and I don't see him setting foot on that island again. Either island, after the Sorna incidents.

But really, I think they'll end up on the mainland, so you're screwed either way... and your actor has signed up for two more movies.

God Creates Dinosaurs? An interesting read, even though it's not my particular field of study.

Everyone should read it. It's not preachy. He is a good author and an excellent mathematician.

It probably is related to your field, you're just not looking at it right.

That's an interesting assessment. Usually, I'm told I'm looking too close at everything, trying to see what isn't there. And here I have someone that's telling me I'm not looking hard enough.

I might just have to take another look, then.

That's the problem. People don't look closely enough. They make assumptions. They assume that they have the only valid worldview, when in fact, there is an entire universe full of things they never could imagine.

Um... Sorry, I talk to much. What I should have said is that Dr.Malcolm is first a mathematician, which is how he predicted the chaos of the first park on Sorna. Math is universal, I believe. It doesn't just apply to chaos and dinosaurs.

No need to apologize. I find it quite refreshing, truthfully. In my experience, people tend to say far too little about the things that need to be said, and far too much on that which doesn't. And seldom does anyone appear to be truly informed about whatever 'facts' they start spouting.

And I agree, people are far too closed minded in regards to a great number of things.

My mun is insisting that Ian wrote another book, but can't find a source. I'm a scientist and I always insist on sources before I use any facts or theories.

She is already planning to see Jurassic World again.

Well, Wiki does state he wrote 'books', though no source is given, nor are there other titles to confirm. And my mun states that just because it exists on the internet, does not make it so. She's a bit like me, sometimes. Existence doesn't mean it is, lack of doesn't mean it isn't.

And she's going this very evening.

The novel quotes his theory frequently, which is why my mun is almost certain he has written more than one book. If the author was alive, he could let us know how many books were written by Malcolm. I'm supposed to be his biggest fan girl, so I should know.

And thus we are faced with that ever present phenomenon known as 'headcanon', where we hold things to be true despite the fact that there is no evidence supporting such claims.

Some questions, it would seem, shall never be answered.

[ okay, but a little hungry. that's what happens when you get blown up before you get to dig in, know what I'm sayin'?

not that she's capable of vocalising any of that to owen, but he smells, looks and sounds familiar; where this biped is, charlie recalls, there's usually food, and so her stance radiates expectation, rather than aggression. a hacking call, followed by a subdued, almost curious ticking rumble is all the man gets in reply; the other alpha isn't around right now, so it should be okay. right? right. ]
