You know, just because I've suddenly gained prominence in your head thanks to a chance occurrence in a silly text thing, doesn't mean that you can just post me wherever you like just to fish for canonmates.

I'm a canon immigrant in a series with characters people already have known and loved for years, add to the fact is that I'm unpleasant in most of their eyes. And I won't deny it.

I'm just saying not to get your hopes up with this, Mademoiselle Mundane.

No, they don't. Or they gloss over those sufferings, or worse still, they ignore them in favor of the ...antics of their favorites. I should add... one version of the public access copy of my files -- what's called 'canon', if I have the jargon down pat -- made some unnecessary redactions that put me in an even worse light*. I don't expect people's sympathy, but some understanding would be appreciated. At least my current landlady seems to have a grasp of that. ...She even offered me tea and a blanket on my own terms...

The typist insists that since everyone already knows about the main characters, they ignore me anyway. Add to the fact I do several questionable things in the series. But she says in order to understand me, you have to look at the series from my standpoint.

I think she's bias.

Ah yes, the age-old issue of actions and motives, the inability to look at a situation objectively: they're fortunate they've never had to make the hard choice in order to protect the greater good. You've been there, I take it? You've put yourself on the line to keep that line from being crossed by the unscrupulous? What are you? Law enforcement? Military?

I wouldn't call her biased, or if she is, she at least has the sense not to follow the herd and favor the favorites.
