We've all been there, on both counts. And making a name for yourself here can't be easy, no matter how often you speak up. I think you should focus more on other people's bitching, and less on your own.

That's where her own problem comes in. The mundane can be shy apparently. Even with attempting to visit others, she says she gets silence more often than not.

She even believes it may be her writing.

Of course, personally, I could care less about the human's problems. Though she does say I should lighten up, it comes a point that it becomes what many call 'out of character'.

If you don't go against canon, and your mundane has reasonable belief that you would do or say something, backed by strong evidence, any actions can be justified within a resemblance of character.

In other words, "IC" is a matter of perspective.

As for your mun being shy, there's no need to be. It's your face she's showing, and not her own.

Seeing as my canon is still considerably short, it's all a guess and works. That's what it seems and doesn't bother me.

That's true, it isn't her face, though she second guesses her writing quite a bit, and she has said that I can be a difficult 'muse' to deal with; a lot of people may not like dealing with what she considers my attitude.

I've had similar problems. A short story from a quiet little city, told to mundane eyes by a game that came out years ago. Whether others know my world, or yours, is irrelevant. If people want to label you as a jerk-ass, so be it.

[ Heaven only knew Joshua has been smacked with that label often enough, though he deserves it quite a bit. ]

However, to be silent for fear of earning that label won't do you any good, either. What are your options, here? Be silent and know nothing and nobody, or be out of character for fear of offending people?

That's for sure. It makes me wonder if anyone does actually check out information when it's linked.

The mundane has had that issue in the past - pissing people off with previous muses being considered out of character. Obviously with the situation of 'home' or wherever previous muses have been, they've adapted - then that was the point where they were no longer 'IC'.

So she sticks to the dressing room - if that's what she's really considering it - to the subject she's been decent at. At least...she says she's decent at it.

Most people won't. They'll rely on you, and on your mundane. After all, if someone becomes your friend or your enemy, it'll be you that gets their attention. Not your canon.

Of course, that might put some more weight on your shoulders. It's up to you, because you're not working to prove yourself to people who already know you. You're introducing yourself to people who don't.

Though then comes the issue of 'dropping' as what she calls it. Though she doubts herself, sometimes we end up with a few good responses, though then they up and disappear, making earning friends or even enemies difficult. And this goes for both the people we all ready know and new ones.

The mundane is also a silent observer, reading other scenarios and knows who her friends play...hence falling back to her feeling of what had she done wrong when she spots a familiar muse.

Of course, she is enjoying watching this whole thing...even though she won't admit it.

And that is not your fault. That's just something you have to deal with. It's kind of like... Spotting a familiar face in a crowded street. It's hard to get to them through all the rabble, and that's only after spotting them, and them spotting you. Little by little, it'll get a bit better, but remember that people will generally talk to people they already know. And if they don't...

Yeah, there'll come a point in time where she'll shrug it off, though it bothers her with one since one of them is a canonmate Though they can stay away as far as I'm concerned.

She has some good plots in that twisted brain of hers, I'll give her that much. She just has to realize that not everyone is going to care.

My mundane finished my game about six years ago. I wouldn't exactly say I've been silent in the back of his for the majority of that time, but I certainly haven't been active in awhile.

We all get our share of the limelight.
