I don't even

[Lowly, the beast growls, five eyes scanning his surroundings as he tries to make heads or tails of it. One tufted ear flicks to the side, and he lets out another, low rumble.

[What is the meaning of this, mun?

[N-not that he can talk or anything. A forked tongue isn't very good for it.... So he just idly growls as his very long, tufted tail swishes in irritation.]

[ He was only minding his own business until he gets shoved at the giant cat. Really, mun?! Do you really have to be mean to him all the time? Yes. Fine. Christian lingers in the shadows as he watches the big giant cat... thing. He wasn't even sure what to call it besides a big cat beast.

There's a moment before he slowly emerges from his spot to get a closer look at the beast. ]

Are you going to be good? Or are you gonna come chasing at me? [ The assassin prays that it's not the beast chasing him. He doubted that he would be able to run away. Were there trees around here? Maybe? No. Crap. No extra hiding spots, just all open area. ]

[The beast immediately quiets, ears perking upright and his tail completely stills. He waits, watches for a moment, and then lets out a soft huff.

[And approaches rather leisurely. Four of its eyes blink slowly while the fifth remains rooted on the human's face, searching it, and, just as slowly, he sticks his face into the human's hair to sniff him.

[...Huh. Not bad human stink. Oh, is that dirt? Don't mind him licking behind your ear with his very snake-like tongue.]

[ Christian knows better then to run away himself and watches as the beast slowly strides over towards him. He stays still, tensing as the beast gets closer to him.

What he hadn't expected was the sudden lick of a forked tongue. It sends a shiver down his spine, making him quickly turn facing the five eyes beast. His mouth opens a little bit in surprise. ]

That... That was certainly uncalled for. [ He reaches a hand up to rub at the ear that the beast had licked. No. That wasn't a tiny blush across his cheeks. ]

[Looking at Christian in confusion, the beast rumbles at him, and then just licks the tip of the human's nose. All clean now!

[But he does notice the blush. How cute. Humans are so cute~]

[ The assassin wrinkles his nose at the next lick. He once again wipes at his nose while staring pointedly at the beast. ]

I guess you're friendly? Aren't you?

[ The blush is still there as he slowly reaches out a hand putting it in front of the beast to sniff or... whatever. ] You are a rather big cat beast.

[The beast huffs in response, and then sniffs his hand. Satisfied soon afterward, he just sits his ass down, his tail slowly swaying. Sitting doesn't help, though - he's still freakishly big.]

[ Christian chuckles a little as the beast sits down. He wasn't really expecting that at all. It was still a little strange to see a friendly beast. Maybe there is some light in the world. ]

You didn't have to sit down but it does make it easier. [ The man knew about animals. He was trying to not show the beast any fear but he could hear his heart pounding in his ears. Christian takes a full step forward as he carefully puts his on the beast's neck before brushing it up towards the beast's ear. ]

[ Quiet staring. ]

... huh. You're not like anything I've seen on my Time Patrols.

Are you... friendly?

[ Because, you know, she would like to remain whole. ]

[Instant!attention! The beast's eyes - all five of them - stare straight back, and he tilts his head to one side, his ears also swiveling sideways. Lots of sideways action. But his tail completely stills, and he sits down.]

Grrwwwwwww....

... It would seem so. [ Orianne takes a few hesitant steps toward the beast, then stops. ]

Can I...? [ She raises her hand, letting the creature know that she wants to pet it. ]

[ Because why not? ]

[Eh? Pettings? Pettings! The beast immediately starts purring and lowers his whole body, his head on his talons.

[Wow, even this much, he could get soooo spoiled...! That and it's kinda hard to be petted when you have so many eyes and teeth. Mostly teeth.]

[ Hey, anything's better than being snarled at. She'll take a friendly muzzle when she can. ]

You've sure got an interesting look to you, buddy. Must be a lot of fierce things where you're from, huh?

[And that jaw opens up a bit as he growls what sounds like agreement, and then makes a slight snuffle of a sound. Yup. That's definitely agreement. In the meantime, he stays still, trying to be as intimidating as a floor rug.]

Heh. It's a good thing I'm not a threat to you, then.

[ More pettings, and the tiniest hint of a smile. ] You know, you're almost... sort of... cute.

[ Beyond the teeth upon teeth, anyway. ]

[He perks up at that, ears tilted forward, and he purrs so very loudly. And it's a lonnnnng rumble of a purr. In fact, it hasn't ended yet.]

[ Holy mother of long purring noises, it's like she started a small truck— ]

Ahaha! You're just right as rain after hearing that, huh? I must have made you happy!

[The beast stops purring only long enough to huff and bump his nose against the friendly lady, doing his utmost not to get any drool on her. Then, the purring resumes! He curls up his body a little bit, including her in a tiny impromptu snuggle via his very long and strong tail!]

Uwaa—!!

[ Okay, she wasn't quite expecting that. ]

Hey... Don't startle me like that, big guy! [ She laughs, clearly amused. ] I was worried that I might have said something wrong!

[At once, he lets out a little whine, ears tilting back, but then calms again and keeps on purring. He didn't mean to! Aaah, if only human speech was something that he could do!]

[ Don't mind her just. Laying her forehead against him. ]

Hey, no whining. I didn't say it was bad, just surprising.

[Not minding at all! He'll just stay still like a semi-comfortable pillow. Sadly, his outer hide isn't too soft....]

[ She's settled her head on far worse, believe her. ]

I would take you to get some food, but I don't quite know what you eat, big guy. [ A chuckle. ] I wish we could understand one another.

[Food... ah, he could take her hunting with him sometime! Although a beast his size is hard to hide, he has the benefit of soft, padded feet to make his approach almost completely silent.

[But for now, he gently huffs at her and tucks a fluffy ear against her. He closes all but the single eye at the very top of his brow.]

Daww, such a cute puppy!

*Kevin is a bit odd like that.*

.....

[Puppy. Really? Does he really look like a drooling dog? Erm. Don't mind that he roars in an effort to show that, no, he is not a dog. He is a cat-thing. And then proceeds to groom his front leg.]

*And because Kevin is Kevin, you get hugs! Slightly choking hugs with an unnerving number of limbs, but hugs.*

[Because the beast has girth, the hugs don't choke him at all. He just purrs. And purrs some more.]

*More hugs are good!* Such a cute puppy-kitty-thingy! Daww, yeah.

[Okay, whatever. More purring. Purring forever. Because he's a great predator and he can if he wants to.]

Do you want to come home with me? I'm sure you'll love it.

[In response, all of his eyes focus on the person, and he lets out a low, deep, warning snarl, and bares all of his teeth.]

*He's still petting and hugging, oblivious. Probably because he's been heavily, heavily drugged.*

I tried to fight at first, you know. I kept fighting for quite a long time! But now I'm a loyal employee of StrexCorp, thanks to Loyalty And Happiness Implants™, Sunny Happy Pills™ and constant reeducation!

[...Nope, sorry, this beast is done with that. He starts to roughly shake his body to try and loosen the grip that the stranger has on him.]

*Aww, but Kevin needs a friend!*

Please don't go! I'm lonely--ow! *One of his implants shocked him for not being happy enough.*

[She looks up from her book because she always has her head in a book]
