I'm sorry you had to experience that, Wanda. I understand how difficult that must have been for you, but I know you will only be stronger for it. As close as you and Pietro were, I don't doubt that you do not need a reminder... but that he would be close to your heart without one.

I know who you are, or, she does, but that's much the same. While you may not actually be mine, I appreciate the sentiment.

[Well, he's not wearing the helmet at least. But he is truly sincere. As strained as a relationship as he's had with Wanda, Pietro, and Lorna, they were still his children and he loved them. Maybe not the best dad, but... he does care.]

I suppose that removes a good deal of explaining I would need to do. However, while you may not be the Wanda I know, you are still my daughter. I only hope your world is kinder to you than mine was to my Wanda.

We aren't off to a very good start, she and I. But we will see what comes of it.

[A pause, not entirely where to go next, opting for:] I have allies now, at least. That's a start.

At the very least, you won't have the same stigma attached to your powers as there is in my world. While my mundane remains unconvinced that your powers were a result of whatever experiments you volunteered for, opting to believe they were just drawn out by them, you will not be feared by the masses for being a mutant.

And while what Ultron did to Pietro is... beyond forgiving... there are worse things that could happen, and I pray you fare better in that regard.

There's a fine line between volunteering and being chosen. Having a calling.

Mine doesn't wholly believe that we survived by chance either. Nor by sheer force of will, though that certainly helped.

She also doesn't entirely believe he's actually gone. Painfully hopeful. It doesn't help me any.
