I've been told that you could be... cavalier towards others' feelings, but I did not expect this. I do not need the reminder, not now.
And before you ask 'she's weird' would not have been a better choice. You don't have to ask, you forget that I'm already in your head, and I can't imagine how you think that is a good place for me to be.

Though she also doesn't entirely believe he's dead. You're dead. [A tight little head shake] Whichever it is.
I suppose we will have to wait and see.

[A quiet chuckle.]
And when has death ever stopped the likes of us?

She's very optimistic. It's bothersome.

I am not sure I ever did.

That's really terrible on their part, Wanda.
I mean, I doubt that me saying that really carries the same meaning to you but still that's really terrible.
no subject
Except perhaps to make me like it more simply because you disapprove.

Is this how every conversation is going to go, now? Is that what your rebelliousness was about? Being a contrarian?
no subject
[That's a yes to the first and an ignoring the second, as likely as not.]
no subject
Then tell me, what would that accomplish right now, hm?
no subject
It would stop you from asking obvious questions.
[And might make her feel better, for a little while.]

[It's all she has to say, and it's not just a thanks for the sympathy, but also for pulling her to safety when she'd all but given up.]

[Likewise meant.]

I suppose that's fair. It wasn't my intention to be dismissive... [He hesitates, before adding-] You're welcome.

And what of you? What will you do now?

I'm sorry you had to experience that, Wanda. I understand how difficult that must have been for you, but I know you will only be stronger for it. As close as you and Pietro were, I don't doubt that you do not need a reminder... but that he would be close to your heart without one.

I know who you are, or, she does, but that's much the same. While you may not actually be mine, I appreciate the sentiment.

I suppose that removes a good deal of explaining I would need to do. However, while you may not be the Wanda I know, you are still my daughter. I only hope your world is kinder to you than mine was to my Wanda.
[House of M kinda... screwed with him.]

We aren't off to a very good start, she and I. But we will see what comes of it.
[A pause, not entirely where to go next, opting for:] I have allies now, at least. That's a start.

And while what Ultron did to Pietro is... beyond forgiving... there are worse things that could happen, and I pray you fare better in that regard.
[Always sunshine and rainbows with him.]

Mine doesn't wholly believe that we survived by chance either. Nor by sheer force of will, though that certainly helped.
She also doesn't entirely believe he's actually gone. Painfully hopeful. It doesn't help me any.
