I don't understand what that means, Hotaru-chan. Can you explain?

The Digital World was created from all the data that makes up the Internet, and the creatures that live there are called Digimon. And they're being threatened by seven evil Digimon called the Demon Kings. So Yggdrasil the god-tree started pulling people from different universes to be Tamers and partner up with Digimon to stop the Demon Kings.

[she steps aside, revealing a small green creature with leaf-like arms and a purple flower on its head.]

This is Alraumon, my Digimon partner.

[Oh dear. This is like when a kid comes home asking their parents to help them with Calculus and they can't even do algebra. Hotaru, why you do dis???

At the sight of the creature, though, she leans on one knee to inspect it carefully.]

[Sorry, Haruka-papa. But it's how it was explained to her when she arrived in the Digital World, so she doesn't know any other way to explain it.

Maybe if Haruka asked Ami?

Both Alraumon and Hotaru nod in answer to Haruka's question.]

Ah...hello, Al..romon, was it? [Too surprised to properly remember, do forgive her!] I'm...I'm Tenou Haruka, Hotaru's papa. It's nice to meet you.

[Hesitantly, she offers her hand. Do they shake or...?]
