This is a certainty. But as death isn't permanent in the tower, I would say the risk in itself is much lesser than where we come from, my lady.

That is correct, death is not permanent. That does now, however, make the experience any more tolerable.

I have to agree. But I can assure you my lady, there are experiences far less tolerable than death, far less enviable. In the long-term, making death non-permanent is a curse, if anything.

Yes, I think I would. It is my duty to help free people to resist and fight the evil. I have no illusion, the mere wizard I am will not solve anything, I will not undo the evil of this tower, it is far beyond my reach.

But if, by my presence I can heal- would it be one person's heart and help fan the flames of hope, it makes no doubt to me that it is worth the risks.

[ Gandalf's facial expression matches that of Frodo, for a few seconds at least. Very quickly his expression softens, and it is followed by a smile- Up until the wizard erupts in laughter. ]

[Frodo is getting better each time at keeping the straighter face longer than Gandalf, but Gandalf's laugh is what does him in every time.]

I certainly hope so my lady. I do not know what is it they are doing- or what their purpose is. But they won't always be able to hide in the shadows, this I know for sure.
