Richard! [ It's a relief to see him here. ] They've been speaking to you about the same things they've spoken to me... I think they intend to take us out of the Midlands and place us elsewhere.

But why? Why would they do something like that? We haven't sealed the rift!

I wish I understood it any more than you do! But from what I am able to understand, they carry no ill intent... And time will freeze in our home world when we're taken. The rift will not grow, the Keeper won't win. We will simply be displaced.

Well... the one that I'm at is an entirely new world, one that no one had ever even heard of before waking up there. Nothing there is familiar, except the Banelings I came across a while back. Everyone there claims that time doesn't move forward while we're there, but I'm not so sure I can believe that. [ Not with Cara telling her it's been weeks since the last thing Kahlan remembers from home, anywho. ]
