I knew it was coming; I'd heard about this long before that article even appeared. And you didn't believe me. You figured the government wouldn't allow such a thing to occur.
Let me fill you in on a little secret.
The Mayans were right about the End of the World, though their instruments were a little off. They weren't entirely sure what kind of "end" they were prophesying, but they were aware that something was going to happen that would change the world forever.
It wasn't a literal end of the world as we know it, but an end to how we talk to one another. The end of communication, the end of our privacy.
Not that you or many others have it. Idly typing away your lives on social networking sites, sharing your personal information on a whim, blissfully unaware that someone is taking note, that someone is watching all that you say and do. All the better to pinpoint you. The fact that you're shocked at major internet providers that will be watching everything you do online is simply ridiculous.
They've always been watching. It's no secret. You've just been too blinded to see the truth.

Wouldn't that be a shame. [ Turns a page. ] After all, I'm not entirely sure you're that interested in what I have to say.

They really let anyone out of asylums these days, don't they?

Mh, I don't think so. Didn't your doctor teach you manners?

It's just like an oblivious person to assume that I have something to gain out of it. I'm not doing this because I want something in return.

The government doesn't need a warrant or permission to watch the networks. If they wanted to, they'd do so already. It'd spare the pain of rabble-rousing individualists.
