Dear Landlady,
Begging your pardon, but I have been reading your story over your shoulder while you were writing it, and I am not certain what to make of it. First, you changed my name, then you changed everything about Dunnich, then you changed my ma's name. At least Professor Armitage is about the same, and every bit as condescending as I remember him to be.
You were talking about letting me travel some place, too. I wouldn't mind so much, as there is nothing left in Dunnich for me, especially if it has changed as much as you say it has. Please find me a place where folk won't look at me and whisper when they think I can't hear them, and where there is good hard work for mind and body for me to do. Also, where there is fresh air and trees; I miss the woods on the slopes of Sentinel Hill.
Hope you find me a good place like that. Thank you for letting me stay here, I remain yours, sincerely,

P.S. May I borrow Armitage's Necronomicon? It isn't like he really understands what is in it, not as much as I do.
P.P.S. Please tell that loud little man in here to stop shouting at me and going through my things; the next time that he does either, I may need to box his ears and I do not want that. I might squash him.
