((This powerfully evil mask found me... and wants to scheme, and play. MM end game AU!))
[Its creepy layered laugh--both deep and childish--causes Mun to feel uneasy. This sentient mask is very amused.]
What's this? Are you deciding to turn away? So soon?
[Not that Majora needs a mouth to smirk with, as he floats in mid-air, in the form it uses most. Clearly, the smirk can be heard in that sinister voice!] I already find you interesting. You're different from most humans I've seen... Most would run, once they know what I'm capable of.
You fancy my powers, don't you? You figured them out quickly enough. [There's a chuckle, before Majora starts to glance around its new surroundings.]
So, this is the place where I should start to "mingle", hm?

To have some control? Truly? She's not holding back?
Here come the far away whispers, as Marie will gradually become entranced; What is your desire? What do you wish to have control of?
Killing her off would be so quick and easy. Quick and easy isn't something Majora's interested in. Keeping her around would be all the better.]

Her mutters seem as if they fall on deaf ears and she feels the power gradually beginning to pull at her, call her to it. "No, stop...stop." She repeats this over and over again, her voice becoming weaker the longer this goes on. She isn't sure how to fight it now, it's so strong and she starts to wonder if this confining feeling with pass and then she starts to feel herself wanting to grasp for it. Thoughts of being able to be more than a burden or more than just being able to "be there" doing nothing enter her mind. But, Jason had told her more than once that was all she had to do, she was fine just doing that. But, they were in danger? She had to be able to do something if it came down to it? More than be sent away. "Stay out."
Then the whispers start and she finds herself blurting out before she could try to regain herself, "My desire? I just want to live with Jason and for him to remember what he can't remember...for no one to bother either of us. Forever. To be free."

It goes even deeper, seeing the man Marie loved with all her heart. It saw memories, through her eyes, of what they've endured; all that running.
When the woman blurted out what she wanted most, it seemed easy enough to do.
In return, she would do whatever Majora would want for her to do, out of sight. Jason may never have to know.
The mask had ideas on how to work all this out, as he let Marie reach out to want the power to fix all their problems.
The mask pauses, before speaking to Marie softly with its deep voice. "...I could help with that."
The way those eyes glow would be Majora's way of smirking.

Her tone is both sharp and wavering when she starts questioning the mask, "How would I know you could? How can I expect you to be able to do that? You can't...no one can. Those people were everywhere and looking. They had found us and we had been running for so long..."
Then she remembers, she's not there. Not where she had come from now. He was. As far as she knew, he was still there. He was the one running, she didn't have to run at Nexus. She shakes her head, "Besides, he's not here. It's only me now...I won't get to see him again. They told me that I could very well, but knowing what I know now...it won't happen. It can't happen. No one can fix it entirely."
Majora may be able to sense or see memories of her anger towards Nexus and her sadness over what happened right before she had been taken and put there.
"If you know of a way to at least save him. Then I want to hear it...I want to hear it. If I can't be with him, then at least I want him to be able to stop running and be happy without me."
She knows that she wants something to be done.
She feels her heart breaking over this.

Yes, upon seeing Marie's recent memories of snapping at...a woman who called herself Nexus? What? Didn't that interesting giant lizard of power, Vertigo, mention of wanting a Nexus world to rule?
Majora would later ask Marie about that encounter, once it was certain that Marie would become its puppet, its own secret informant on Nexus... for now. Majora, unbeknownst to Vertigo, agreed to an extent to help her. To be honest, her offer wasn't very appealing to it.
Obviously, Vertigo didn't tell Majora enough about what had been going on. If she had her secrets, then so would this other intelligent schemer.

She was so against taking life, but she was in love with someone who had done that more than once. If this could help even in some way, she wanted to do it. She wanted to know what this mask would do, but, she feels another side of her tugging her to just agree already. Maybe it was the surge of power she felt? If he did find out about her deal with Majora, she knew he would be disappointed in her and would probably disappear entirely, but she couldn't see that happening if she was stuck in Nexus.
She reminds herself that it would be better if he had a chance to start over, to not run, even if she wasn't there anymore. She could do this much. The woman curses under her breath and then apologizes to her lover in German.
("I know I have a choice and I know you won't like that I have to make it, but I do. I'm sorry. I hope you understand what I'm doing. It's for you. I don't think I can make it back there to you. So I'll do this and I hope you can be happy.")
She looks as if she is about to lose control of herself when she nods. "Just...anything...as long as he doesn't have to run or do any of those things anymore."
As for the encounter? He will have plenty of time to ask.

Majora witnessed and felt her struggling. She was slowly succumbing under its dark influence, just as it had hoped to expect. Her love for Jason Bourne was so strong. Through that strong bond of these two humans, a deal was about to be made.
As he let his power flow through her, the eyes glowed just a bit, its own way of a slow smile once Marie uttered the word "anything".
"He'll be fine, Marie. I assure you, he will live in peace..." Majora would keep its word on that. It would be an errand to get done within a day or two. The faces of Marie's and Jason's pursuers, it shall not forget.
"As you say anything, there is, in fact a small price. Small favors, nothing beyond your capabilities of course." In a sense, her assigned task, once she'd succumb deeper and deeper under Majora's powerful influence--he was telling her the truth. Although, this was just the beginning.
Right now, Majora was being very intricate of what it tells of her. It patiently waited and watched the woman while doing so.

She then looks down, "He'll live in peace? But, how I can I trust you to keep to your word about that?" She wants to know, she wants it to promise to and actually ensure that he will be in peace. She sounds almost desperate for this answer.
"No one, not even you, will bother him? Is that what you're going to promise?"

"Right now, I only ask of you to provide me information about this Nexus... I am interested to know more. An ally of mine apparently hadn't told me everything about that world."
It was simple. For the time being, Majora would have Marie to be its informant while he was going to do a bit of infiltration, using its power at the carnival in another world. Majora, like Vertigo, was interested to find out what went on over there, what those humans were doing. It would also consider influencing one or two more individuals on that world as well. Majora thought it might prevent Marie from becoming bored, or lonely as the only puppet.
"I have no intention of telling Vertigo about you, Marie." The mask chuckled softly. "I don't believe you'd get along with that creature."

"Please just...anything to help him. Anything."
no subject
"It shall be done, within a day's time. I shall leave, and return once I am finished.
"Keep your eyes and ears open at Nexus for me... We'll speak more on this woman you saw, another time."
With that said, Majora vanished before Marie's eyes. Now that the spell had been fully cast, it didn't doubt she would follow through with her first command.

Suddenly she feels an odd calm as he gives her his first order and she sees him vanish.
"Yes."
