There are people who have friends who are only there to fill up the space when the loneliness gets too much to bear.

If there's no chance at this world getting better like you say, I don't see how friendship is possible.

[R doesn't even flinch at the harsh words coming out of the young man's mouth. They're no worse than anything E! ever said to her, at least! In fact, she was smiling slightly, as she realised that this was really no different than talking to E!.]

Indeed, I do think that the world is going to Hell in a damned hand-basket, but still-- I most certainly do not relish the feelings of "loneliness" I experience without my friends around me, and so-- that's what they mean to me!
