After all the time he's spent with his teammates, he's nervous. He's attached - though it'd be like pulling teeth to get him to admit it, even to his operator - and...

He decides not to voice his thoughts, but he's not sure it's such a good thing to have someone he knows there. Fireman dying once, with their inability to do anything about it, was bad enough. ]

[Fireman easily picks up on Elecman's nervousness. They've worked together for quite a while now, so he knows a bit about how Elecman ticks.

Truth be told, he wasn't too sure about Elecman heading off to that place either. It would be cruel and merciless to them, he knew. He could handle it, or so he believed, and he's quite sure Elecman could handle it as well. But that didn't mean he couldn't think of the worst.

Sadly, though, the options were out of his hands, so dwelling on it wouldn't help them any.]

Kh. [ He huffs, seemingly annoyed by his small display of emotion. ] I don't like going in when the outcome is uncertain, but that's what this place is all about...things will happen, and we won't know about it until it's dropped on us.

Even with all the knowledge we have, there still isn't much to help. I don't like going in so unprepared. [ He has an analytical mind, an engineer's sense of logic; if he knows how things work, it should be possible to even the odds. But he knows there will be nothing so convenient there. ]

But that's not something you worry about much, I'm sure. [ There's some amusement there. Fireman isn't one to puzzle over these things; he knows that. ]

No one likes it when the odds are uncertain, but there's no point thinking about it when it's not in our control.

[It just makes hesitant and second-guess yourself, and Fireman had never been one to second guess his decisions.]

Do you doubt our ability to handle all the twists and turns they'll throw at us?

[They've died once, and come back to life again after. Was not that proof of their ability to persevere?

It's not ability I'm worried about. Not knowing the full range of what might possibly happen isn't something I enjoy, but that's probably something we'll have to find out ourselves.

[ Elecman considers many avenues; it makes him quick to act when he thinks he has enough to go on, but once something goes wrong it's hard to recover.

And just because he's died and come back once doesn't mean he's eager to do it again. ]
