Welp

Well, been a while since you were here last, huh, mun? I know you're nervous about trying a new game after what happened last time, but you've decided to try new things this year, right? I say give it a shot! The worst that could happen is simply not getting in, and that's not so bad.

I am confused about one thing, though. If you're not going to be taking me there, why are you dragging me out here? You should be working this out with Remus!

Maybe your mun just wants you to meet more people before deciding on sending you somewhere?

Perhaps. I do like meeting new people. The chances of her sending me anywhere are pretty slim though.

Really? Why is that?

The last game she dropped me into died after about three months. It's made her pretty anxious about trying again.

[Shrugs and sighs, in a 'what can you do' motion.]

[Okay. He can do this. He's spoken to Tifas before in spaces like this, he's got this. Especially if it sounds like there might be trouble afoot.]

[Oh hello a familiar face! You are being given a small smile.]

Mmm. It didn't last long, unfortunately. Turned her off trying for a while.

[These things happen. Not to him, but there's a fellow Turk up in the headspace who's been there.

There are a lot of Turks in the headspace these days but it's not their turn this time.]

No, it isn't my fault. I felt obliged to try and pull her out of her worrying, though.

[Tifa was the one in the game after all. She may have gotten over it but the mun hasn't.]

Some place called Melodies of Life. There's already a version of me there, so I can't go, unfortunately. What about you? Does your mun have you somewhere?

Mm. Makes sense, I suppose.

[Tifa's nice like that. Turk methods of 'encouragement' tend to be rather more blunt.]

Not right now. Still keeps me busy but a game...it's tricky.

[Downside to being a quiet type, really. But that brings him to something else]

No plans for you?

[Tifa's methods can be blunt when necessary. Mun is grateful she hasn't been though.]

No plans at the moment. She hasn't done this in a while, so. Baby steps, I guess. If something caught her eye, though, who knows.

[A shrug.]

At least she's being sensible about it.

[A pause, then, before he adds a little more quietly:]

You'll be fine, whatever happens.

[He has that belief in her, for all he's not normally supposed to show it.]

Oh wow... I'm sorry to hear that. Was it because people lost interest or the mods?

My mun says I should suggest the place I'm at if yours would be interested. It's still new and sort of slow paced since there aren't a lot of people there, but no one intends on closing the game anytime soon~!

I'm not sure... it was new and pretty small, it sort of just slowed down and then stopped.

My muns says she's open to suggestions! And that certainly sounds like the sort of place she'd be interested in.

More like anxious about it. Still, it's a step in the right direction, I suppose.

[A pause as she tilts her head slightly.]

Ah.. yeah, my mun was concerned that might happen with where I'm staying; but things are happening at least once a month, with events or missions and adventures and stuff.

Really? That makes mine happy! She's always loved your character so she's pretty excited if you're interested, haha~! The game is over at

empyreanskies. I think the best way I can describe it is that it's sort of a mix of adventure and slice of life.

I think they all get like that.

That's good then! It's always a bit of a worry with something new, I suppose.

Oh yes, she found that game to other day and was having a look. I think she's concerned about a few of the questions on the app, but other than that I think she likes the look of it.

Some more that others, by the looks of it.

Yeah, especially when there are a lot of more established, older games that are more out there. Still, they're hanging in there~!

Ohh! Well, my mun handles a lot of the approvals of applications, and she runs some of the plots, so maybe she can help in that regard? What kind of concerns did yours have?

Also she says she's glad your mun likes the looks of the game.

Maybe. Might not be entirely off the table. She's been getting restless lately.

My mun says she's going to send yours a message. It's not too big a deal, I think. She just seems intimidated by the prospect of joining a game again.

Okay~! Mine says yours shouldn't be intimidated, and if nothing else a small game like that is perfect for getting your toes wet, she thinks! Or .. something like that.

You don't mind being the only one from your world there? Well - unless others join down the line, I mean.

I guess not. I was the only one from my world in that other game. It'd be nice to have some familiar faces though.

[Being partners with Reno teaches you a lot of things, I'd imagine.]

Don't worry about me. My mun isn't one of the ones that fond of torturing their muses.

[Whether it works as well when one certain Turk has a habit of falling for the enemy is another matter.]

That's good to know at least. Mine has odd ways of showing she cares sometimes.

[Luckily that's mostly Reno's problem right now and not his.]

A lot of them do. I suppose most of them mean well, at least.

And so, after a couple of throat clearings and false starts, he gives up on an answer (which might be answer in itself) to focus on the rest.]

Mari here has been through something like that before, and it wasn't exactly fun at the time. No, it actually gave her a heart-sinking feeling.

Not going to cry. Not going to cry. Just because I hadn't seen her in two months--she's FINE! She's got to be. She wouldn't...]

[Mari quickly calms down, manages to smile a little, and tells herself that this is most likely not the version of her. So, yeah, meeting her all over again... Sucks.]

Even if there's no game to go to, you could still go out and about in meme things at bakerstreet if you'd like. I met some people I thought I'd never see.

[Such as meeting a version of Vergil, meeting him all over again. Not that the one she knew would really remember Mari much. They've only talked twice, and so briefly.]

Perhaps! We haven't talked to anyone around here for a while, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone showed up.

[What no it is totally fair. Really. She gives him another grin.]

[Tifa can tell something's a little off, but she's not going to push it.]

[Even if Mari is ever willing to explain, it would just take too long, and she'd probably end up feeling sad. And homesick. Not only that, but it would cause this Tifa some major brain hurt.

She'll just nod a bit, to come off as encouraging.] Yeah, some of it's quite fun. Not too long ago, I met somebody named Jack Frost. Even though it didn't last long enough, he seemed like a pretty nice guy, for a winter spirit. [Oh, if only she could tell all about it to her Tifa... Gen most of all! She misses her boyfriend a lot too.]

sixwordstories is a nice place too. Interesting people to meet there.

[Tifa has experience with brain hurt.]

Sounds like there's interesting people everywhere. [A smile.] A winter spirit, huh? That's pretty unusual.

[Probably so. Anything can happen... Anything.]

Yeah, and I was the only one who could see him. I guess, since I was not born in that reality, that law of nature to not see him didn't apply to me? [Mari shrugs.] It was my best guess I shared with him...

[It's not fair. It's just not fair. Cloud says everything's okay--but it's not quite the same as being back home.]

[Her smile's looking a bit sad, and it's just no use hiding it. It'd be pointless to really lie, so--she'll do her best to keep it vague] Y'know, you remind me a lot of someone I know, back in my home world. Your resemblance to her is similar.

Well, it's something we'd all hope for at least! And if you're there, then I think there's more reason for others to join, knowing that they have a friendly face there.

Can't argue there.

[Even for not having a game his mun's managed to put him through plenty and he's not sure if that's better or worse than getting nothing at all.]
