Mundane,
Honestly we do not have time for this. Between watching over Agent Carter and Mr. Stark I am far too busy for games or play of any kind. I was a bit shocked to find Howard has a son and that he is in our head too. It seems you have a bit of an interest in the Stark family do you not?
Still I need to focus on my duties first if you do not mind.
Thank you,
EJ

Indeed, though given how much Anthony looks like his father I cannot say I am shocked Miss Carter.

How's the misses?

I am curious to know what makes you different. He rarely respects women the way he does you.
She is well, how are your new rooms working out thus far?
no subject
I've had worse. It's not a tent in the rain, so already it is a step up.

[Jarvis smiles and nods]
Indeed he does see you as a pal and more. He has very few friends Miss Carter and he holds onto each one like a treasure.
no subject
I treasure him just as much. He... He means a lot to me. He was there for me when not many were after... Well, you know. [After losing her Captain.]
Not many can put up with the idiosyncrasies of a Stark. We should start a club.
no subject
He told me how dark those days were for both of you and I am glad you were there to help him as well.
[A laugh.]
Indeed we should. The stories I could tell you Miss Carter..even I found my mettle tested at times.
no subject
Perhaps he just needs a good slap?
[She chuckles slightly.]
That doesn't surprise me. You've helped quite a bit. You are still a little green, though. Perhaps I could assist you?
no subject
I know he does. He is one drink away from hurting himself or someone else one of these days. I doubt a slap would cover it.
I would be happy for any assistance you could provide Miss Carter. Some of my army skills have gotten a bit rusty.
no subject
[Even if most of it was from the super serum, not her training. She grins, just imagining putting Jarvis through the army paces.]
This won't be simple calisthenics?
[Her smile fades as she thinks of Howard.]
I... I am really worried about him.
no subject
Oh you have more than a few believe me. And you'll find I'm more than an able student.
[Jarvis sighs.]
As am I. He is slowly becoming less of the man I remember.
no subject
We'll have to make him remember.
I don't know, will your wife let you off your leash, Jarvis? I don't want you to get in trouble with the missus if you come home sore or with a few bruises?
no subject
no subject
I can see that happening quite easily. Howard does not take suprises well at all.
Canon or otherwise.

Canon or otherwise.

You've forgotten that he also enjoys watching things explode. I do hope you've grown out of that.

[Jarvis smiles and waves his hand]
Then do so Mr. Stark with the understand any examples you use I was there for.
no subject
I think your memory might be a little foggy, pal. I have my bright spots.
no subject
[Jarvis smiles slightly.]
Then remind me of them Mr. Stark before the London fog clutters my brain and I forget this conversation completely.
no subject
Now now. I helped Steve save those Commando's remember? Flew him in when nobody else could. Peg and I were instrumental in that. And, I have saved a few other people to. Do I have to jog your memory on that?
[He chuckled, winking at Jarvis. Still, the past was the past. The Howard he was now was different, even if it was ever so slight. Alcohol and cigars, women in bikini's, his projects and money. Things had gotten darker for Howard, even if he didn't want to admit it.]
So, I like a drink now and then. Who doesn't?
no subject
For you now and then seems to be every hour of the day sir.
[Jarvis looks a little sad at this.]
no subject
It... It's not that easy anymore, Jarvis. Things have changed since the war ended.
no subject
I've noticed the rate of my need to apologize for you has increased sir and frankly it concerns me.
no subject
I don't deserve her. In my life. Being my pal. I... I screwed up.
[Howard reaches up and rubs his eye, wincing slightly.]
no subject
Screwed up is the kind way of putting Howard, you betrayed her trust and forced me to do the same.
[The rare use of Howard's first name should make it perfectly clear that Jarvis is pissed.]
I have tried to be patient and understanding but I can no longer do so sir. You need help.
no subject
He sighed, looking up at hi butler and, sometimes, friend.]
Can't ask you guys to help me with everything. It's for your safety. You have to know that.
no subject
Miss Carter and I are both adults capable of making our own choices. You should let us decide when we need to be safe or not. In case you forgot I followed you into war and back out again...this is not my first dangerous situation nor do I think will it be my last.
