I get that you don't want to be too sucked in, but what's the point of doing "little stuff"? When you put it that way, not going back to protecting people from the nastiest of company we both know very much about, it's pointless. Wjy would you even bother me?

[For the moment, Kazuma doesn’t look toward the lady as he responds while laying back, arms tucked behind his head on the soft grass. Calmly, he voices his concerns.]

It’s a matter of her trying to juggle some things. Even if she did start small, it would take up more time than what either of us already have.

I’m aiming to prepare her, along with my friends, before one or more of the crazies start getting active again... Thanks for the words of advice, but I think I’ve got it from here.

[Kazuma sits up and looks at her. Wow, she's really cute, is a thought that comes suddenly in the back of his mind. Out of decency, he proceeds to explain, leaving out a lot of details. He can sense her magic aura, perceiving that silently through the air currents around them, yet he won’t speak of it. There's no doubt she could handle herself against sanity draining demons and vicious cyborg drones, for instance. She's got to be seriously powerful, although he believes it’s all the more beneficial towards the lady when he won’t mention certain specifics. Nice people wouldn’t want to get stuck in the middle of what he’s been through, no matter how powerful they are.]

See, I very well understand that she still wants to make more of her music. Long story short: I don’t mind that fox DJ guy who gives her ideas for that. A few of my friends like hanging around him. They’re buddies.

[A small smile is there, as he fondly thinks of a few good friends he shares a Headspace Nexus with, who have suffered a lot in the past. It’s nice to see them happy and having a good time with the music muse.] I’m glad that he’s has been a great distraction for some people.

[His expression changes to mild seriousness.] Though, Mun’s been fooling herself, thinking she could just forget about a handful of ongoing problems. The bad guys won’t. I know what they want, and they’ll do whatever it takes to have things their way—and I think Mun realizes that now.

If you're sure. [ She smiled gently - Lucy was the sort to want to help people in trouble, even though she and her friends have been through a shitstorm (that was still going on) themselves. It didn't discourage her any. ]

Oh! Your mun is a musician? I have a friend like that as well. [ Lucy, that's Lyra, I think that's a different situation. ]

I'm glad that your friends get along with that person though. Life's too short to have grudges and fight each other. [ Her expression becomes serious as his does. ]

I see... that's not good. But... she has people to look out for her, right? Like you, for instance.

Yeah, I'm sure. Don't worry about it. [Kazuma grins in return. He could tell that she was a good person, almost right away--for he's quite good at reading other people. He had learned this all on his own while growing up, sometime soon after he had been shunned by this family--his damn father in particular. Because he couldn't handle the first magic he was born with... Not that he thinks about that much. Wind magic is way cooler, after all.]

I didn't really know about her music talent until a few months ago. The DJ fox came out of nowhere. Mun got back into it while in the middle of some events.

[Kaz nods] There's a handful of us on the lookout for our resident trouble-makers, but we can only do so much against the goddesses. [Sighing at that, for he despises them both.] One of them tends to be both loud and demanding, from what Mun's described.

Haha, I see. That seems to be the case for a lot of muns around here - people just pop up in their heads out of nowhere.

With me, my mun says that it was like love at first sight, I popped up in her head after the first few minutes, and it was solid by the end of the episode.

[ A frown, worried. ]

I ..goddesses huh..? I hope that your mun and your friends will be all right. My friends and I haven't dealt with actual goddesses - just megalomaniacs who claim to be gods. ...and demons, more recently.

True. I think I showed up after mine finished watching the whole series... [He frowns, remembering...] She likes my younger brother too a lot, but I've managed to have him spared.

[There's a grim nod from Kaz on part of what she says.] I know of a maniac who believes to be the new Messiah, believing it's his holy destiny to escape nexus and purge his world of all humanity. [This is pretty much said in disgust. Kazuma does not at all like Xargin.]

Both of the goddesses freaks are crazy beyond words, one of them having their own demon army. [He adds in assurance;] Messiah Complex may be aware now, but the other two aren't just yet.

We can handle it though. I've taken out my share of demons before, and so have a number of others.
