Just watched the finale - SPOILERS and language

I mean everything was great and then that ending? I don't even. AND WE DIDN'T FIND OUT WHO SU'S DAD WAS! And do I ever get re-connected to my past lives?

To quote YOU, oh mun of mine -

I mean, the ending was great but we were promised resolution. Instead I go on vacation in the Spirit World with Asami? I mean, Asami is wonderful but really? They ended one of the greatest animated series (and we're talking two here) on a vacation?! Or was that our honeymoon? Honestly, I couldn't tell - which is probably for the best.

Best thing about the ending was Varrick and Jhu Li. Jeez. Never thought I'd say that.

Ugh. Sleep on it. Maybe another viewing in the morning will make it all better. It felt like it was missing something. That, and it just felt really... weird. Rushed, maybe?

I guess. The typist just really wanted to know a lot of things - like what happened to the United Republic army or what happened to the people Bolin and Varrick escaped the Earth Empire with or who Su's dad was or who Fire Lord Izumi's mom was or what happened to the Earth Empire's army after the surrender. Stuff like that. I guess she expected more closure for the rest of the world.

She's never been one to like the romantic relationships in the show - any of them. Me, I'm kinda neutral but I was hoping for something a little more in those final moments than a vacation/honeymoon.

[OOC: I do think it was interesting that the writer's went there but at the same time I would have liked if they had spaced things out better over the last few episodes. I know Nick is the reason why everything got crammed into the final two episodes like it did. It's a damn shame, though.]

Yeah, but that sounds more like they'd have ta keep ya runnin' fer longer than was planned. Maybe they just were needin' an endin' that was satisfactory; instead of one that does everythin' at once.
