You know it's unhealthy to want to pretend to be someone else. To want to 'control' another person's life. I know, you got sick and re-watched my show, but that doesn't mean you have to try and be me. I get it, you think I am cool. Need I remind you how canon ended?

It was a sort of a blink and you miss it type of show I think. Mine doesn't meet many who even know what she is talking about.

Well, if one of us knows it's good enough for me. Also I could probably use someone to talk to anyway. [Karen can admit that at least.] I'm Karen, nice to meet you.

[Rolls her eyes at her mun's doubt of her mental health.] I'm supposed to have a therapist, so. I probably have a few little kinks to work out. But I'm not going to run around naked, if you're worried.

[unorthodoxly]

I tend to strip down with the patient so, no not worried. [Yes, he means that.]

[secondshift]

[Blink. Followed by the obligatory picturing him naked.] I've just been through a lot over the past few years. Also, the past week. But we just met, I don't want to burden you.

[unorthodoxly]

[He saw the blink and chuckled.] First day at the new job, man came in naked thinking people were lizards. He was naked to prove he was human, so to calm him down I stripped naked and showed him I was human too. Worked out well in the end.

...okay then. I apologize for picturing you naked there just now. [She chuckles.]

No need to apologize for that.

[secondshift]

I can't help it. You're good-looking and I've been celibate for a while. [She laughs.]

[unorthodoxly]

I know much about celibacy.

Is it because you work too much or because of the willing to get naked in public thing?

[unorthodoxly]

Work too much, plus I tend to have my own baggage. Just haven't met anyone.

[secondshift]

You're playing my tune there, doc. Maybe Megan was right about you.

[unorthodoxly]

I don't know who Megan is, but right about what?

[secondshift]

My mun's friend's muse. She's the one who brought you up in the first place. Really has a soft spot. [Understatement of the year but Karen doesn't want to confuse Jack with talk of dopplegangers and such.]

She said you're a good guy.

[unorthodoxly]

Should I be worried that someone I don't know has a soft spot for me, and speaks of me? [He is joking of course.]

[secondshift]

I don't know. Depends on how meta you want to get. [She laughs.] My mun has three muses up in here and I just sort of keep to myself, really.

Actually I keep trying to get her to retire me, but she won't.

[unorthodoxly]

Retirement is overrated.

[secondshift]

I don't know, she keeps hanging on to me and trying to come up with things for me, and they never pan out. I feel like I'm living my life in a loop except it's just different people.

Plus, I'm the senior citizen in the bunch, so that's fun. [Smirks.] 40 is the new 30, right?

[unorthodoxly]

You look 30, definitely not 40.

Getting there. Listen, the weather in LA is terrible and I was thinking about getting some coffee. You want to come?

Sure, I could definitely use a coffee.
