I'm no hero, and you know that. I couldn't help save the last world I was in, so what makes you think I can help this place? Besides, I don't even know anyone there. I don't really like the idea of starting all over. Exsilium was hard enough. I'd be more interested in going back to sleep on the streets of New York, then have to start someplace new.

... Yeah okay, so having a roof over my head and a steady food supply'd be nice. Can't argue that. But at the price of bein' some "hero"? Well, it's their fault for draggin' me into their mess. I ain't making any promises.

It's been almost a year since the last place, so I thought I was safe. Shows what I know. I mean... I guess I've been in worse places, but I really ain't cool with people thinkin' the fate of their world lies on my shoulders. Cuz it ain't gonna be the case.

Hah, it's been a couple years since my last place, but I'm still not quite gonna take it for granted yet. The minute I do, she's gonna get some crazy idea in her head and toss me off into hell again.

That said, though, at least they think you're a hero instead of a target? That's the kind of thing you can milk like a dairy farm, man.

Supposedly, anyway. Though I can't be too sure that the people there won't take one look at a guy like me before they get the pitchforks and torches.

Man, you never know. If they're that deep in it, they might be glad to get any kind of help, even if it comes with horns on.

I mean, hell, you're not wearing spandex and offering people piggyback rides. I've seen weirder help.

[That actually gets a laugh out of him.] I don't care what their problems are, if spandex is involved, definitely count me out. But as far as I know, this place doesn't have anything demon-related, so I don't even know what they're gonna make of me.

Yeah, that was a weird one. [And he shakes his head, grinning.] But hey -- it sounds like you've got a decent chance for these folks to just assume you're a bit weird. We've got people like that where I'm from -- some of 'em just don't quite look like your average humans. It's a thing.
