On tonight's agents of shield 2x07
Revive a fallen avenger.
Except Cap could probably heal fast, Thor's not human already, and Tony literally has a suit of armor.
Not to mention Banner.
[His expression is tight. Who are we kidding.
Phil did this for him and Natasha. And that thought. Just makes him want to scream.]
I'm going to kill him again. [no, maybe. He's not really sure.]

You had to huh?
Because what, you cared?
no subject
Yes I did...I do. Clint there is so much more going on here then you realize.
no subject
[He's gonna have to check that anger at the door, if he expects her to let him by without incident. She doesn't think for a second that he'd seriously kill anyone, but if he's gonna start somewhere he'd have to start with her.]
Fury was thinking of all three of you. [Clint, Natasha and Phil. He didn't say as much, but May assumes.]
no subject
Yeah I kind of figured.
[It shouldn't be him. It shouldn't have been him. He doesn't deflate persay but he does run his hand through his hair.]
Doesn't make me any less antsy about it.
no subject
And her point, really, was that Clint should be tracking Fury down and treating him as the complaints department instead. As soon as Phil saw what the process did to people, saw the side effects, he wanted the whole Tahiti project shut down. If it had been up to him, he wouldn't have let it happen to Clint or Natasha, or to anyone else. Fury's the one who made the final call: authorized it the last time.
She shifts her weight, expression inscrutable, and watches him like she hasn't been "antsy" about a goddamn thing a single day in her life.]
It's simple. Don't die.
no subject
He'd feel even more conflicted maybe. But he's working on shutting that down again after New York.]
Trying not to. Kind of hard when you're about to go up against a giant Robot.

Nat has my number. [That's an offer, but she knows how Strike Team Delta feel about backup. They never used to need it, just like they never needed an extraction. The mun's already told her that there's only so much screen time to go around in Ultron, and they've already got Wanda and Pietro to juggle, she's just not listening.]
no subject
And Tony doesn't always have his suit. Rogers might be able to jump out of elevators but he's not immortal and Banner...
All right. It was never meant for Banner. You've got me there.
no subject
I'm genuinely curious about that.
no subject
no subject
...It drove agents crazy.
[Not to mention him.]
no subject
[I'm not comfortable about this either, and my eyes flick to you then away again, because I'm concerned about you]
[soft] It was a helluva thing. My mun got caught up on canon last night too.
no subject
She doesn't really know what to say, anyway.]
no subject
Doctor Banner?
no subject
[Don't give her that look, Steve, she knows the world would be safer without her in it.]
no subject
We couldn't've won the Battle of New York without you.

You saved Tony. You saved lots of people. I'm glad you were there.
I'm glad you're around, Bryce.
no subject
[But does she believe it? Nnnnot really.]
no subject
And you don't believe a word of it. It's all right. I get it.
no subject
Some things just run too deep.]
no subject
How're things generally, Doctor?
no subject
no subject
[smiling, because I know you're perfectly capable of speaking up for yourself]

[Lies. Lieees] How is ah...How is Phil?
no subject
Talking to us again, which is an improvement.
