It's been awhile, hasn't it?

You've always known just how to make my life harder, but you've really outdone yourself this time. Really, truly. I would be impressed if I wasn't so thoroughly exasperated.

Not one, but two.

Two children I never knew I had. That is two too many. And they're far too old to be bothering me by this point. How do they even find me?! This is ridiculous. Get rid of them.

I would never claim to be someone the world needs. Even so, it's awfully hard to care about adults who I simply had a hand in making.

Besides, my parents never wanted me and I turned out just fine.

If your parents never wanted you then shouldn't you be going out of your way to make sure you don't treat your own kids the same way?

And no. My species isn't known for it's child-rearing. They should be happy to never have to use my name, and be happy that they got even one real parent.

Look, I just don't want these adult children coming out of the woodworks and finding out I have money and deciding that now is a good time for some familial bonding. I've never been dad material anyway, why force it?

It wouldn't hurt to just go meet them, even if it's just once.

Everyone wants me for my money. I don't have any worth outside of that for anyone. I'm not a pleasant person, to be honest. Being generally unpleasant is something I'm really getting good at. It's best I stay out of their lives and they out of mine.

Especially since one of them has taken it upon herself to sleep with a business rival of mine. That is more involved in her life than I have ever wanted. Ever.

And besides which, the man is infuriating enough to make me pop a vessel in my eye. Can't see what she sees in that moronic brute.

Mom died when I was a baby so I don't really remember her.

My parents left me with a golem when I was 5. I guess I stopped being cute, but I assure you, eight hundred or so years later, I do not regret not knowing my parents much. Family is not important to me.

I don't mind the term, myself. Suits me enough, makes me feel a bit better about some things.

Huh. I guess that's true enough. I stopped worrying so much about those sorts a few decades ago. I'd nearly forgotten they existed, which happens when you're just an incubus. Not really too priority.

Thinking of myself as a beast makes it easier to live down the things I've done. That's all.

A good thing to do is make a place for you to fit. Someone with whatever kind of powers you have is sure to... Find some way to make it profitable.

And study magic and history and stuff like that, I mean we live for years on end so we have to do something other with our time than just fly around.

I guess. I mean, I spend most of my time doing... you know that thing that incubi do. Otherwise I just kind of do whatever is being done by the humans around me. Fought in a war, learned English, moved to America and then made it big with my charm and good looks~

To be honest I don't really know that much about Incubi, I've never met one before!

We generally just kind of... Have physical relations with humans. You know, to survive.

I'll be honest, though I've met plenty who have never met an incubus before, I figured most people were aware of the things we did.

Well to be honest, I didn't always know I was a dragon...I only found out a few years ago and I'm still learning about everything else that comes with it. The most we have to deal with is the fae and I guess in a way some of those tend to act like Incubi...er us's is that even the right term I'm using?

[Still a hatchling this one, so forgive her kiddish nature.]

Basically, I'm still learning about the world around me, I'm sure there's plenty of other creatures I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet.
