Of all the games out there you could possibly be considering, you have to focus on the one that turns everyone completely human?

I understand that after a month there's the questionable 'perk' becoming some sort of cannibalistic soul-eating monster, which certainly sounds incredibly familiar doesn't it, but that means spending weeks as a fragile, helpless mortal. While, I'll remind you, surrounded by no less than sixty of those aforementioned cannibalistic monsters. I won't even be allowed the presence of my zanpakuto.

Can we maybe consider going somewhere else?

'Dead' would not work very well for staying long at this 'game', I suppose. The choice between death and being human is ... considerably more difficult.

[There was a time in Aizen's life, not so long ago, where he came to the conclusion that every single person he met was either stupid, insane, or not worth his time.

It's hard figuring out which category to put this guy into. But aside from a slight twitch of one eyebrow he stays remarkably calm.

It's good to know the pattern of punishing people for things they haven't done continues.

As far as my mun has bothered to tell me, some twenty to fifty people are just picked up off of random worlds and dumped there to become cannibalistic monsters. It's supposed to be exciting.

My mundane made the most amused noise in response to this. Probably has to do with the fact that she has a mirror of you in her headspace.

And the fact that the situation you're talking about has her attention.

I don't think she feels sympathetic. I, on the other hand, certainly could offer my sympathies for that sounds like a truly terrible way to dwell for a time.

Is she interested in that game too? I suggest becoming as bland as possible, maybe that interest will fade.

[ Older!Aizen certainly has plenty of advice to dish out, but Sephiroth doesn't play messenger very well. ]

And I don't know. She does want to find a game for me, but she doesn't even know where to begin searching. Not to mention that she and I both agree I'd be cheating even if I did go, simply for all the physical enhancements that would be left behind, even were my unnatural genetics stripped out.

Captain Hirako is not the best match to be hoped for but he suits his purpose well enough for now.

One would hope even stripped of your .. ah, enhancements and unnatural genetics, your skills and knowledge would remain. I'd offer advice on games but I think the less I say the better off you'll be on that subject. May I ask what sort of 'unnatural genetics'?

I don't think it helps that she has a.. thing.. for shipping yourself with your captain. Of course, she's the first to criticize the older version of you, even when he hasn't done anything, so.. her ideas are not the best to take into consideration.

[ Sephiroth would offer his sympathies, but he personally considers the future version of the fukutaichou to be a rather.. .. grating individual. .. at least the younger version of Aizen is far more tolerable - and as his mun says, adorable. ]

Hmph. I suppose you may. I'm not entirely human - my father, for lack of a better term though father he certainly wasn't, decided to mix alien genetics into my own when I was still in the womb. It's why I'm not sure that the game you speak of would work; it simply isn't possible to remove everything, I would think.

But if my skills and knowledge were to remain, that would put me well above the rest.

[Surely he can be forgiven a few moments of unfeigned surprise. There really isn't any mistaking those narrow features, but he is almost completely certain the last time he saw Gin, the boy was about chest height.

Not completely certain though, the downside of having a zanpakuto that revolves around illusion and deception is being not exactly sure something new and strange isn't simply conjured by the sword's spirit and somehow he'd lost track of time while working on his communication skills with said sword.

But Aizen recovers pretty damn quickly all things considered, though there's lingering puzzlement. No, he's certain--]

[Quite honestly, he has no idea how to handle this. It's hard not to feel yourself become overcome with bitter, spite fueled rage when you see the guy you couldn't murder years down the line, practically defenseless.

Yes, most of that, though if you intend to kill anyone else it might be wise to avoid third seats for a while.

[That confusion is lingering. It takes a lot to throw him off his game under normal circumstances but this was hardly normal circumstances and he's beginning to think maybe this going-to-some-game-or-other thing is a spectacularly bad idea.

Especially if this sort of thing is going to be normal. At least it's Gin, instead of say, Shinji. At the least, surely Gin was reliable, and predictable.

Am I to assume that you're also from some different timeline, or should I just head to the Fourth division barracks now and see if maybe I drank something I shouldn't have?
