What was I supposed to say, "Hey, bro, I know we're friends and all, but I built a weapon that could totally nullify your powers and possibly worse"? ( it's pretty incredible how he's still able to joke a little through how shaken he is by this whole ordeal. ) Not exactly a trust builder.

[No, it was probably the least common solution to 'trust building' that was out there, but it wouldn't have come as a surprise, or a shock, or felt at all like the hand of betrayal of someone you cared about.

Sure, Barry was getting over it, and Barry did get it. He'd probably have done the same, and probably kept it a secret, too. But it had still happened, and it just hurt. It sucked.]

Well, yeah. I feel horrible, like -- lower than low, man. And I'm in real deep you-know-what with Dr. Wells, too, on top of all that, which is just ... ( he shakes his head, folding his arms across his chest.

[Barry gave him a reluctant smile. Of course he knew that. Barry hated keeping secrets. He'd shout them from the rooftop if he could. If there was one thing that he'd learned from this, it was that you never kept secrets unless you absolutely had to. And maybe, Barry could see why Cisco thought he had to, if he'd thought that Barry would react like this. Obviously Barry was lousy at being a friend, too.]

I know -- I'm sorry. I know sometimes secrets are needed, but not between us, okay? We're friends. I trust you and Caitlin and Dr. Wells more than anyone else right now. I just want to know that's mutual.

( cisco visibly relaxes as barry confirms that yeah, he still trusts the three of them - but more importantly, him, his arms dropping back to his sides. with a sigh of relief and a hint of that well-worn grin of his, he responds,)

Baaaarry, come on. You know this wouldn't be such a big deal for all of us if we didn't all trust each other. We adore you, dude. All of us.
