Please don't mistake me, Miss Mundane. I want to be with Helios. That's where I belong.
But that end could be just as easily reached with the two of us back home, where we belong. The castle needs us. The school needs us.
...still, I can see it. I can see it while I'm in here. He's happy there, isn't he? And he's learned so much. He wouldn't be Helios if he abandoned all of that, even if it was to come home. People respect him there, like they should here, and I'd hate myself if I made him leave that.
Oh, very well. Wings can't be so bad, and it seems as though the plants are friendly enough. The people as well - do we really get a party? Warmest welcome I've had anywhere in a long time. I'll have to show them a few steps.
If you can find the time, I wouldn't mind stopping by for a while. But only if you can find the time. Wife of the headmaster, remember? The old man might pester you, but no one will take your studies more seriously than I will.
I hope that you will consider this decision carefully, and I will respect whatever your choice is. I want to be with Helios, more than anything, but alternatives exist. We can find another way. And we can find one that lets us both be happy together and have a bit of fun. I'm sure he remembers what it is, or he will once I'm there to remind him.

He looks ever so shocked to see you Elise and actually a bit in disbelief too. ] Elise?
no subject
[She brushes a hand over his cheek, her smile fading into a gentle frown of concern.]
...are you really getting along all right? Or is she lying to me to make me feel better?
no subject
Sorry dear but he'll just...pull you into a kiss because, yes, it's been far too long. ]
I-I have been but, but, more so now...now that you're here. [ He doesn't care if it's sappy okay? He's missed you a hell of a lot if the kiss was indicative enough. He'll pull away though lightly frowning a little as he brushes a stray strand of hair away from her face. ] I've missed you.
no subject
The kiss gets a gasp of surprise, but soon she's relaxing against him, safe and happy and kissing him back with all the boundless love she feels for him. Elise even laughs a little breathlessly, when they finally pull apart.]
Well, you don't have to anymore. I'm sorry for leaving you on your own for so long, Helios, but not anymore. It's not right. I don't care if I grow a second head, as long as I'm with you.
[Oh god, Helios, her hair, now you have her fussing with her hair again. It's a mess, isn't it? It's always a mess. She must look like such a mess, and begins fidgeting with it.]
...I'm not going to grow a second head, am I?
no subject
He laughs one of the most genuine and happy laughs he's had in awhile. As for the hair? Hell no it's perfectly fine, everything's fine, all of this is perfect. ]
No, no you won't. At least I do believe so. I haven't and neither has anyone else. [ ...a cheerful hum. ]
I've met so many wonderful people there, Elise.
no subject
...no wonder you don't want to go back. [Her look of happiness falters briefly as worry, uncertainty intrude. But she dispels those thoughts with a brief shake of her head, and looks back up at him again with genuine excitement.]
You're going to have to introduce me to them, you know. Every single one. I can't wait! I promise not to embarrass you, Helios. Well...[she waves an airy hand.]...too much. You know how overexcited I can be.
no subject
[ Helios looks sad for a brief moment, but only a second, before it dissipates. There are other reason for not wanting to leave now and he knows they're somewhat selfish but...he can't help it. Still he has to tell her, he has to know what she remembers. He laughs though shaking his head and then giving her another light kiss. ] You never embarrass me.
[ Well nothing he can't take and really he hardly cares. That's just how he is with her. ]
no subject
[She takes his hands again and gives Helios a mischevious smile.]
You're going to have to dance with me, and that's that. I hope you've been practicing.
no subject
[ If Elise doesn't mind holding icy cold hands while they dance? He'll dance with her forever. ] I-I haven't. But you know me. I-I wasn't very good at it to begin with, really.
no subject
But she's hopeless without him, so that's alright.
Elise lifts one of his hands up to her mouth and blows gently on it, trying to warm the cold skin. Then she assumes the proper stance, guides him to do the same, and starts leading him in a few slow, simple steps.]
You were wonderful. Everyone stumbles their first few dozen times.
And I'll teach you all over again, if you want. I don't mind. From all I've heard, we'll have time.
no subject
He'll follow Elise almost stumbling at suddenly being drawn into a dance. ] I'd learn all over again from you. But, yes, all the time in the world.
[ A smile as he follows her each one of his steps getting better and more confident. ]
no subject
...it's all right, isn't it? If I tell them that I'm your fiancee. I know you've settled down nicely over there. I don't want to give anyone a shock.
no subject
He looks at her with a serious expression. ]
Of course it is. Why wouldn't it be? [ He shakes his head as he pulls her back into him after a spin. ] There's more shocking things that have happened there than telling people something like that.
no subject
[The next time she catches him looking down at his feet, Elise ducks her head, catching his gaze with hers'.]
no subject
[ He follows steadily regaining his composure and overall innate ability to do this dance. They've done it a million times before but this was different than the rest. ]

I bet you were a wonderful dragon. [And did not set any buildings on fire or camp out in front of the bakery. No sir, Helios, that is not the sort of dragon you were, was it?] It must have been quite the education.
