[Yes, there is a metric fuck tonne of silicate goo fountaining from this horrible thing's mouths, and yes, there is an ovipositor large enough to stash an IKEA show room protruding from her bony behind.

A rough translation of her growling hisses might be, 'You, meat-bed: kindly step back from my children until you can be secured to a wall. I'm busy: I have not lain nearly enough eggs yet to deal with the likes of all of you!']

[The queen hasn't noticed him, busy pumping out a fresh batch of eggs. Currently, given she has no drones to tend her, the last batch are being shuffled to one side -- much closer to the human that the queen is!]

[Despite trying to be quiet Lucas just can't manage it because oh hell no you are not moving those things closer to him! He's trying to press himself up against the wall so he can shimmy past the fresh batch of little beasties and their momma.

How does he even end up in these situations, really.]

When you've got flamethrowers built into your hands (so to speak) you've always got one eye on opportunities to show 'em off a bit. As showy but glass-cannon enemies go, to a fire elemental, a xenomorph is about perfect.

She's creeping about nasty, sticky tunnels, peering shrewdly about as she goes. Time for Kay to fry herself up some eggs.

That gets the queen's attention very quickly. Unfortunately, she is not at the heart of a teaming hive at the moment; she barely has a half a dozen newly deposited eggs to her name. Setting up a new nest is hard when you've got no minions and have to extrude your own ovipositor from scratch.

Never the less, she mantles, her larger arms raising, spider-like at the fire elemental's show of strength. An ear-splitting shriek that would have summoned any underlings rips through the large chamber. It ought to be translatable to something like, «You are in such shit!»

She doesn't have to speak drooly-alien to know what that scream means, and it raises hair all over her body, but her response is a manic grin. She's just in the entrance of one of the tunnels off the main chamber, and she drops into a half-crouch, raising her hands and giving off little puffs of flame. "Oh yeah?" she yells back.

[Well, this little "meat-bed" hardly seems ruffled at all by the queen's threat. She just kind of laughs it off, waving a hand in the Queen's direction.]

Scary, scary~! Don't worry, mama, I just wanted to see all the cute little babies.

[And heedless of the warning, she crouches down beside one of the eggs, apparently not at all worried about getting too close to one of those things.]

But, you know, it would be a big problem for us if all these little guys got out. There aren't enough humans to be food for all of us~!
