[ He should say something - anything - but his throat's too tight. He can hardly even see her thanks to tears that are suddenly flooding his eyes, but it doesn't matter; even if he could see her clearly, he'd still be convincing himself she wasn't real. Because even though Jeremy told him that he was seeing ghosts - seeing Vicki's ghosts, specifically - he doesn't believe it. It's too weird. Even in Mystic Falls where everything is weird, ghosts are too much. ]

Why're you looking at me like that? Matt? [ She takes a slow step forward, swallowing the lump in her throat. The tears she could see made her want to cry, but she wouldn't. At least she'd do her best not to.
