Voicetesting! Possibly heading for Outbound?

Aww, come on! This ghost girl's finally got herself together and you want me to just sit around while you [exaggerated hand gestures here] fine-tune things?

Look, I know you get worried, but it's not that complicated. I'm great! Everything's fine now, and I'll help you. So let's get going! Besides...

[She sucks in a breath, eyes wide. This is clearly the most important argument.]

...space!

Well, what a coincidence. We have plans to head to a space related game ourselves.

[Laughs]

And lose what exactly? You would have barely made it last time if it weren't for that nuisance of a halfa. I'm still ten times stronger then you will ever be girl.
sohumbling: (That's rad.)

...Man, that takes me back!

[Seeing a kid get excited about space that is. This astronaut was like that as a youngster.]
sohumbling: (It's called the off side rule...)

Urgh. Twenty odd years.

[Unfortunately, he acts like it's fifty. Being a cosmic super being made him grumpier than he already was.]

But... all that time spent working on it was worth it. Seeing Earth, the whole Earth all at once... it's breathtaking. Indescribable. And then... looking in the other direction...

[Ut-oh, he's on the verge of some 1940s style melodramatic monologuing.]
sohumbling: (I'll squeeze 'em and punch you.)

I was with NASA for a long time. [And since he never got the Neil Armstrong treatment for it due to unfortunate circumstances, he adds-] I was the first man on Mars, and stepped where no man had ever even seen with the naked eye.

[He's a bit insecure. Wants props. Also, real melodrama incoming-]

It's an awe inspiring, to be amongst the stars. Learning for the first time how tiny you are, in the massive, cold universe. It's humbling yet comforting, knowing that the small world your entire species has lived and died on is just a little piece of a grand interstellar puzzle. Because even if it's seemingly insignificant, a puzzle is incomplete without every piece. It is vast and you are still vital.

That is what it's like.

Hello. What's this about space?
madangry_madcrazy: (What?)

[personal profile] madangry_madcrazy 2014-09-16 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Have you been to space before?
