Blowing off a layer of dust
Tick tock. Remember me?
I remember a time when this would come easily to you. Shh. Do you hear it now? That ticking sound? It's the sound of me getting back under your skin.
Oh, you've missed this. Don't say you haven't. The freedom of "villainy". Would you call it villainy? I suppose in a perfect world it'd be that black and white--in a world full of sunshine and daisies and perpetual summer where nothing ever rots or dies. Wake up. The world isn't your playpen. There's sharp corners, and loose floorboards. There's rusted nails piercing through the safety foam. Death is at the very core of nature, and yet there's nothing villainous about it. We evolve. We kill. We thrive. I kill. I evolve.
Can't you hear it? The clock is ticking four seconds off the hour. It's slow, and so are you. Now hold still. Let me see how you tick.

Well, you didn't get what needed from me. What you wanted. And I might be here now, I might be alive but I would kill myself over and over again to make sure that you don't get to 'see how I tick'.
(Can you tell? She's so not happy to see you.)

So you deprived me of your ability. You also failed to kill me. If you'd only managed that one thing, imagine the lives you'd have saved; the deaths you'd have prevented.

...And you're right. If I had managed to kill you I would have saved many more lives but I didn't. I did what I had to do at the time at that was to deprive you of my ability. Things would have been a lot easier for you if you had it and I'm sure plenty more people would have died.
What in the world would possess your 'mun' to bring you here?

[ Sylar doesn't comment on the second part at all. She's right--it would have made life much easier. But on the question of what ifs, it presents other topics over which debate could rage. The question of whether or not New York might have been saved by his hand, for example. ]
She's sadistic, masochistic, or both. Setting me loose on the world is her idea of fun.

You have no idea what you're up against.

Oh, Peter. It'll be fun finding out. You'll fight, at least, won't you? Oh, valiant defender of the good that you are?

Do you think it'll slow me down? All those abilities. I won't be able to help myself. And what about you?
