Shaky Voicetesting. Not sure how he managed to get in here.
[I can't even handle your snark properly. You and I both know this, so why do keep on pestering me?]
It's not my fault if you're inexperienced with the way I talk to people. I'm not going to do any hand-holding, so you should jump in and gain some experience.
[I'm not Enoch. I can't learn how to ride a motorcycle just because you put it in front of me, and I'll really botch your speech patterns if I just dive in.
At this, Lucifel just shrugs.]
I wasn't expecting you to be on the same level as God's chosen, even though I'm still not sure how he's so different from the rest of you. He's not that important.
[Aren't you just jealous that God didn't choose you to go and seal up the Fallen Ones? After all, you did already know about it.]
Don't be ridiculous.

[He arches an eyebrow. There's some faint amusement on his face, but shh.]

[Not even going to mention the other thing, as it's such obvious bait.]

[Says the person who almost never worries about the time.]
And I'm not the one keeping people waiting or worrying about deadlines.
Lucifel can be a little sneaky like that.
Other than, well, picking up on your instruction lightning-fast.
He's just going to ignore that part because what is dealing with a comment like that when he's the only humanoid he can rely on to not leave him? Healthy? No. Effective? For now.*
You do have plenty of lines to study. Your mundane will have an easier time of it than mine did.
This is true..I'm just not sure why he felt the need to sneak up on me. ><;
They should, if they go back and look at it all. Most of my lines in the game were for the audience, after all. They'll just need some time working at it.
[Time that I don't have. Really, if I was going to seriously play you, I'd have to make better icons, look at the game and the other canon materials again, and try to wrap my head around your mindset and snark. I have other things to work on, you know!
..All of this just causes Lucifel to raise an eyebrow.]
They're really fussing about it though.
It's just a thing that happens.
*Just like Lucifel, really. He loves his time in the spotlight, and Enoch isn't exactly inclined to try to persuade him out of it. Far be it from him to tell Lucifel not to bother his mundane at all.*
Look at it this way, Lucifel...if your mundane is unable to devote her energies to playing you but tries anyway, it won't simply be her other muses who suffer for it. Your own voice will be lacking, too. You should...for now, that is...settle for less than serious environments.
*He smiles.* Games often impose restrictions, anyway.
*And he doesn't think Lucifel would appreciate having his powers partially or totally sealed by someone who isn't God.*
True..I guess it's just annoying to me, since I'm the type that likes an explanation for weird-
[While Lucifel would return Enoch's smile, it wasn't with an actual, genuinely happy one, but with his usual sarcastic smirk.]
I wasn't expecting them to join a game with me-not right now, at least. A place like this or a few Meme's should be fine until they gets used to my voice.
[I'm sure you won't be satisfied with that for long though..
And Lucifel just ignores that.]
I don't think they're unable though. Unwilling would be a better way to describe what they're feeling. I'm not sure why though. They have time and art on their hands.
Want icons? I've got a whole folder of them.
But he's not sure how to approach this. How to tell Lucifel that if he's not wanted there's nothing he can do without offending him.*
...Ah, well..I suppose you're bound to their whims, regardless. It's the way of mundanes.
Sure! That'd be a big help, if you could give them to me.
[I only listen to you to try and get you off my back.]
Sure thing! I only icon from official sources but Lucifel's got plenty to work with
*Seriously Lucifel, he knows you love your freedom but he doesn't want anyone tripping up anyone else here...*
((ooc: here you go!))
Well, Lucifel wouldn't be Lucifel if he didn't stand in the spotlight and pose. Thanks though! This-
There's no need to worry about that. I've been giving them plenty of time, and while they've been complaining and squandering time, they have been working with me. This Mun can be stubborn sometimes..not as much as you, but I don't think you can say they're not trying if they're putting together icons and looking at Memes for me.
[Was Lucifel casually insulting Enoch there or casually giving him a light compliment? The world may never know.]
I guess they're just surprised that I took the time to speak with them.
{You make that sound like a privilege..]
no subject
...I suppose. You are almost always more focused on them as a group, after all.
..Wow, Dreamwidth, what the hell did you do to my subject line? ><;
Well, it is easier to deal with them as a group with the mediums we're in. It's not like we're trying to give the story out with private emails.
[At least..he wasn't.]
But if I'm going to start being in this medium, it's much easier to just talk to this person rather than everyone at once.
I've only seen it do that once before. It's pretty freaky.
*A pause, as he considers the subject of their conversation.*
How do you handle something so confusing on the proper side of the wall?
It really is! I can't think of anything that might have caused it either.
no subject
*He'd thought he was just trying to remind him of how grave it was...*
no subject
[Plus, Enoch had his doubts, though Lucifel wasn't going to mention that. God and Michael worried a lot more about them than he did.]
no subject
*Does Lucifel really have so little faith in him? He smiles uneasily - he must be joking. He was always the first to assure God he could do what he must, after all...*
If that's all it took to thwart me, Azazel might as well have invited me in.
no subject
He wasn't stupid enough to invite you in, but he did leave the front door open for you, despite some setbacks getting in. You were always looking up and around at anything unfamiliar that caught your eye though. One would have to wonder how you could concentrate on what you were supposed to be doing while glancing about.
no subject
You say that like being attentive is a bad thing.
no subject
It's not, but being over-attentive can be. I'm sure you lost a few good chunks of armor by focusing on only one or two opponents at a time, even though you did manage to get past them.
no subject
*He laughs, a genuine laugh. Moments like these are rare, indeed. Teasing still isn't Enoch's usual way to show affection, and it's only grown however more common it has since before they left because of all the time he's spent with Lucifel as the only humanoid company for miles.*
I only have my eyes and ears; there's only so much I could do at once.
no subject
If the trouble is really your eyes and ears, maybe you need glasses and a hearing aid.
no subject
You know I'm smarter than that, Lucifel. You're the one who trained me, after all. Insulting my ability is like insulting your own.
*It didn't take him long to figure out to go after the Gale-users first if he saw them. He'd left that rookie mistake behind after Sariel's level at latest.*
no subject
Not really. I trained you, but you're as stubborn as a mule. You jumped into the Darkness when you shouldn't have. Besides, you managed to find the Tower a lot faster than I thought you would, and you managed to accomplish your goal. I'm just commenting on a few of your faults.
[Was he trying to boost Enoch's ego, his own, or both? Either way, his voice sounded a little..fond, though it still carried its usual, sarcastic quality.]
no subject
*He smiles a much simpler smile, and moves to sit down on the nearest surface. Teasing others on purpose is pretty exhausting.*
Perhaps you should comment on faults I haven't left behind.
no subject
Of course not. It's just also a fault to complain too much about other people's faults. Wouldn't want to shoot myself in the foot. But, if you really want me to, you're way too soft sometimes.
I can't think of anyone else would apologize to books or feel sorry for enemies that all look the same and don't have any connection to you.
no subject
...I don't think it's a fault to remember they're only men. To accept that...I may be condemning their souls even as I defend myself.
Let me know if this sounds strange. I'm pretty tired at the moment. ><;
[Really, part of the reason they were on that mission was to make sure Belial didn't soak up any more souls. At least, that was part of the reason for Lucifel. It was mostly to make sure people could still live in their usual homes and didn't have to switch to crude houseboats or submarines, if Azazel managed to figure those out, but there were a few other reasons.]
Don't you remember Sin? It's not like we would have ignored any other soul we came across. And it's a fault if you're worrying so much about them that you feel bad about defending yourself.
no subject
So in spite of his relief, he doesn't seem to be relenting to Lucifel at all.*
...I don't think it is. I didn't let it stop me from defending myself, did I? I'm sorry, Lucifel. Even if you don't like it, I can't lose who and what I am.
no subject
No need to apologize, Enoch. I wasn't expecting you to. The choice on whether or not you work on a fault is your own, even if you were able to defend yourself.
no subject
He understands that Lucifel...simply doesn't understand. He'd like him to, but with a proud streak like his? It won't be easy to open his mind to learning.
And that's fine. Lucifel is such a valuable companion to him. And it sounds like, however misguided its foundation, he's trying to say the right thing.
He looks up at Lucifel and smiles a bit. He's glad to have him as a guardian.*
no subject
However, he would return the smile-though his looked as cocky as ever-before..pulling the conversation back a little.]
At any rate, it's not hard to be on the fourth wall. I'm sure you could do it, if you were ever put up there.
no subject
*His original wouldn't, but. Well. He's not going to just ignore the fact that Lucifel's voiced his confidence in his ability to handle a shift in the very way he perceived reality. His smile widens.*
Thank you. Your confidence means a lot to me.
no subject
[Looking up a little, he makes a small comment, seemingly aimed at no one at all.]
I hope you're not too annoyed by all his faults. Keep trying to do your best with him.
[And with that, he focused back on Enoch, still smiling his usual smile.]
You're welcome. If you keep trying to improve, I'll be a lot more sure of your skills.
[And he's teasing again.]
